The floors was never Swept or mopped. You take your shoes off your feet would be black on the bottom. Bed was made but the sheets wasnt changed. Didn't sleep ppl up stairs were noisy all through the night.

When I arrived the manager was asleep in a guest chair in the lobby. I don't recall him wearing a name tag or uniform or looking like he worked there. I asked about a military discount and he said because the rooms were rennovated he couldn't do that just now. My room was not renovated and there was no ceiling light just a switch that didn't work. The room was supposed to sleep 5 but there were just 2 full beds and no pullout or other accommodations. I was disappointed overall, definitely not worth the price I paid. Maybe after renovations are complete?

I have stayed here several times and I prefer this location out of the other hotels and motels in the area. The staff are very courteous and helpful. They are undergoing renovation and the rooms are nice. You dont have to worry about someone messing with your vehicle because State Troopers as well as the Sheriff Deputies and the Brownsville Police are in the area at all times. Dairy Queen, McDonald's and KFC are in walking distance and Walmart about 5 minutes away. Also its 3 gas stations that are in walking distance if you need to grab a snack.

Day staff not friendly, breakfast was terrible, room 2 down from us was a drug room, pot smoke coming from that room was disgusting and the patron came outside in his underwear yelling at us. Not a place to stay with if you have kids.

It will be okay when completed.
One side of the hotel was under repair and update. The other side was open for guests. We felt we could stay there because of the name and price. When we entered the room it smelled stagnant. The carpet was very old. The faucet in bathroom sink was so far to the rear of the sink you could only rinse one hand at a time. The beds were not comfortable. Paint fumes from the side under renovation was too strong. My wife suffers from asthma. We could not stay through the night.

My room had bed bugs. I woke up to find bugs crawling on the bed. I captured one and took it to the office. The women behind the counter handled the situation appropriately. She apologized and stated the room would be inspected immediately. I checked out and left the premises.

The heat didn’t work properly it took a long time for it to actually feel like the heat was on. The bed wasn’t as comfortable then the last bed I stayed in the last time I was there. The hotel is in a convenient location.

The room was very nasty. Holes in mattress. Felt like i was sleeping in a hammock. Terrible oder in the room. Tub and shower was filthy. Whater does not drain in shower. Bathroom sink was nasty. Carpets were nasty.

Nice stay
We were just passing thru for the night. Beds were comfortable but pretty soft, not like the Fred and Ethel bed catastrophe where they both rolled to the middle, but a gentle hug. When I laid down it felt like the bed was wrapping around me and I slept so good. Breakfast was waffles, muffins, cereal and such. Customer service was great, I accidentally booked a smoking room and the guy at the desk switius to non-smoking. It was quiet and didn't hear any neighbors.

Schitt’s Creek without the great cast.
I wish I had taken a picture. The gentleman who checked me in was very nice, but the hotel itself was very bad. Dirty, old, rough towels, carpet torn at the door, dim lighting in the room. The Photo on the Hotels.com page is NOT what this place looks like. This Hotel is like Schitt’s Creek without the charming cast. I definitely do not recommend this place.

We had reserved 3 nights but relocated to another hotel after one night. The “non-smoking” room had an ashtray on the nightstand and smelled horrible. The TV didn’t work. The lock was inadequate, and the air conditioner subpar. We did not use the shower because of lack of cleanliness. A pillowcase appeared to have mascara residue on it. The blanket was worn and had a hole in it. We were relieved to move on. There was no apology from the hotel staff.
