New England charm near skiing and hiking

Posted Dec 1, 2017
Great value for the money in a quaint New England village, the Eagle Mountain House has been one of our favorite destinations in ski season for years. Accommodating staff, relaxing atmosphere, and homey charms keep us coming back to this area again and again.

Room very comfortable and nicely renovated.

Posted Oct 31, 2017
Pros: Very friendly staff, great porch for sitting, great old hotel - lots of character.
Cons: Carpet on stairs especially needs to be replaced. I understand the capital necessary however.
Location: Gorgeous falls a short walk down the road - will be back.
There for a one night anniversary stay. Enjoyed walking the down road to beautiful waterfalls. Even though hallway floors creak, it wasn't loud at night or early in the morning. Bathrooms are clean, bright and nicely appointed. Wonderful porch for sitting on rockers, the library was cozy and nice to sit in front of the lobby fireplace. Dinner was good in comfortable dining room. We didn't have lunch in the lounge but it looked very cozy and comfortable - nice afternoon sun was coming in. All employees were very friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel with great views. The room was clean and the food at the restaurant was solid and reasonably priced.

Romantic Get away.

Posted Oct 21, 2017
Pros: The food.
Cons: Upgrade the mattresses and carpeting (as planned).
Location: North Conway is only 15 minutes away but there are so many nice restaurants in Jackson, just pick a new one each day.
The food is fantastic in their dining room. They are working on upgrading their carpeting and mattresses in the room. So when you check in ask for an extra pillow top for your bed and you should be good to go. Of course I didn't realize this until I was checking out. We had a 3 night stay and it's nice to hike to the stream next to the road. In the winter we cross country ski to his hotel from downtown Jackson always a good place to get refreshed (a nice bar). I hope this helps.

Nice hotel in Jackson NH

We drove up from PA for the fall foliage and it was spectacular! It is right next to some beautiful water falls and only 1 minute from center of town and restaurants. Staff was super friendly and we loved our room.

Parts of the hotel are still quite outdated. The room we stayed in had a very uncomfortable bed. It appears that they are making some upgrades. Overall the hotel has a lot of charm and we would book there again--I would just be sure to get an updated room.

Historic vintage hotel in a beautiful setting.

Posted Sep 1, 2017
Pros: Nice setting, good location.
Cons: Creaky floors and bed frame.
Location: We only had one full day in the White Mountains. The location allowed us to hike, do the Cog Railway, and zipride on Wildcat Mountain - perfect.
Nice 2-night stay at the Eagle Mountain House. Nice base for White Mountain activities. The hotel is charmingly old-school. Beautiful veranda in a gorgeous setting.

Beautiful view, fresh mountain air.

Posted Aug 30, 2017
Pros: We loved the rockers on the porch, the view, the pool and the total environment.
Cons: Would have loved it if the windows could have opened to breath in the beautiful mountain air. It actually says " windows open" on your web site.
Location: Love Jackson Village , mountains, hikes, lots to do.
We were granted a "complimentary" upgrade upon our check I . However, the upgrade probably meant a slightly larger room. We still overlooked the back parking lot, but would have loved the upgrade to a mountain view.
