Never again

I never still in a hotel with two people In a room and you only get 2bath, 2 small, and 2 hand towels. The rooms smell. It wasn't a nice experience. I have been in hotels that's been full. And never experience anything like that we had to use towels from the pool.

I would not stay at this hotel!

I was terribly disappointed with the conditions of this hotel (Fairfield Inn, Jackson, MS). The room looked and smelled terrible. Perhaps to mask the smell and dampness of the room, the hotel placed a very noisy dehumidifier in the corner of the room. I also noticed a lot of work trucks and men hanging around the property. The front desk clerk was gracious when I complained of the noise and whether there was a safety issue. He assured me that all was well, but I felt I wasn't going to be able to get a moment of rest at this hotel. After being there only 20 minutes, I checked out because I did not believe the issues could be resolved to my satisfaction. I ended up going to the nearby Courtyard Marriott (which was actually cheaper) and got a sound night's rest. I was assured that my money would be refunded, because I did not actually stay in the premises. However, when I applied for my refund, the hotel would not refund my money because I actually "checked in." I guess "checking in" means walking in the room and immediately being repulsed and deciding to go elsewhere. I was not a cancellation or no show. I showed up but did not like the product...why should I have to pay for something I did not use because it was an inferior product? What a rip off! I would avoid this place at all costs!

the staff were extremely friendly with great attitudes, and very helpful/ the room was clean and nice, I would go back if passing through the area again

Old hotel. The bedding was worn out. There weren't any kids tv stations. The pool didn't look clean enough for my kids. Maybe it was just old and worn out too. The whole ground floor smelled like chlorine. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and there was a good variety. Next time we stay in the Jackson area, we'll probably stay in Pearl. Same area but nicer hotels. I want to reiterate that the staff were great. It's just an old hotel.

Room smelled

Pros: Pleasant front desk worker
Cons: Increased security. My room was on ground floor, and the screen to the window had been bent and removed. Did not feel safe. Better air fresheners
Location: Close to many things. Right off the interstate
Quiet hotel, with an indoor pool. However, my room smelled funny. Smelled like incense. Towels are thin.
