Didn’t live up to our expectations
This was the first stop for us on a 3 week California road trip and from previous reviews we were anticipating a warm welcome with a wine and snacks reception then a hearty breakfast next morning. Sadly we were a bit disappointed. We were welcomed by the owner and had a glass of wine but then never saw her again. We were expecting a lovely breakfast but instead got a rather basic breakfast box and a pot of coffee left outside our room in the morning. As we booked believing we’d get a full breakfast (which is still what is offered on the Hotels.com listing) this was very disappointing and as it cost us more than anywhere else we stayed during the rest of the stay not great value. As there had been a period when the business was closed I had had some correspondence with Sandra who reassured me she was running again...but not that she had changed the breakfast offer. The house has lots of history and our room was comfortable but it would have been nice to be able to talk to Sandra about it. We’ve never before stayed in a b&b where there is nobody in attendance in the morning. The highlight of our trip was a visit to the Amador Brewing company with food from Katie’s country kitchen. Plymouth itself is a very small place that was mostly closed when we were there. My advice if you’re visiting the Gold Trail is stay in Sutter Creek.

2/10 Terrible

Carly, Point Reyes Station, CA

My reservation was cancelled without any notification! I happened to call one week early to check on something, and found out that the inn was closed! When I finally got in touch with someone, they said they couldn't get in touch with me because they didn't have my phone number or email address. HELLO??

Plymouth House Mother Lode Highland Games Weekend
I was there for the Mother Lode Highland Games which was only 2-minutes from the Plymouth House. I enjoyed the breakfast very much, so I talked my wife into coming up for one day to check out the Plymouth House and enjoy the breakfast. Sandra, the proprietor, was very nice and welcoming. We missed the Wine social, on the second night only because we were at the Massed Bands at the Amador County Fairgrounds, but I was there on the first night and that was also a nice perk.

We stayed at this lovely bed. And breakfast for 2 nights while visiting the wine country inAmador county. The inn is a great historic home in old Plymouth.

Quick Trip
Quaint B&B in Plymouth close to the wine tasting area. We arrived somewhat late but Sandra was very accommodating - she even left us a note with our room information in case she didn't see us when we arrived. The room was nice and comfortable with plenty of room for our belongings. The bathroom was understandably small but nice and clean. We were too late for the wine and cheese hour and had to leave before breakfast but there was coffee waiting outside our door just after 7am. My husband wasn't sure about staying in a B&B but he loved it! We will definitely stay here again when we have the time to relax and enjoy the amenities!

Cozy with awesome breakfast
we booked the B&B last minute at very late time and were welcomed warmly when arrived. it is an old house with a lot of characteristics featuring the history. The breakfast was awesome except that it started at 9am (a little late to us).
