Friendly staff
Everyone we dealt with at this location was very nice. The room was clean and beds comfortable. Most of the towels and the sheets had stains but they did appear clean. If you need to check in at a certain time it might be best to call ahead and arrange. Check-in started at 3, we arrived at 3:30 and could not find anyone to help us...we had to call a few times to get someone there and then they couldn't find our reservation. Also, the tv would not work initially and it took two people in our room getting instructions over the phone with another staff member to get it working. In general, if you are not in a rush and don't mind some small timely issues, it's not a bad place for the money.

It was nice because I was able to bring my dog for a very small fee. The beds were very comfortable and clean. The lighting is dim and the stuff in the back of the motel which I had to look at wasn’t the best but the room was clean. The people were nice who stayed there and helped me and my husband find our way around. The staff was very nice. I give it a 5 for the price and fact that despite it being a motel it was very comfortable.

Structure is a bit shabby around the edges but clean and rooms freshly painted. The bathroom is all new and mattress / bedding also appear new. Would stay there again if in the area rather than be at usual chain hotel some distance away from where I needed to be.

Room has been updated. Fresh paint and refurbished bathroom. How ever there were some guests on the end that were a bit unruly.

Just passing through
Just traveling through on business and needed a room for the night. The Inn was convenient. Owner/check-in manager was friendly. There's fresh paint on the walls and the bathrooms have been remodeled. The furniture is dated (beat up). The room was clean but not well-lit. There were no outlets around the desk area, and no desk lamp. The chair was extremely uncomfortable. I personally won't stay here again, but recommend it to anyone who needs a clean, cheap room, for a quick stay. Recommend bringing your own toiletries.

This was a pleasant, family-run hotel in the town of Brownsville, Tennessee. It was a short drive from I-40, but I enjoyed not being so close to the busy thoroughfare for the night. The family was attentive and very pleasant. I recommend this hotel for a through trip.

This is an older, remodeled and clean motel. Only the door gave away its age but it was secure. Great price!

Super clean and comfortable
Incredible hospitality from owner/manager. We arrived late and she personally greeted us evening and morning. Quiet stay. Other guests polite and professional. Door opens with actual key! Super clean. Bathroom most spotless in the country. Large rooms and beds. Great sleep. Nice cold air conditioning. Easy access to Memphis or en route to Nashille, Mississippi or Arkansas. Super clean, comfortable and hospitable.

Very Worth the Money!

The motel office isn’t marked and it took a couple minutes to figure out where to go. Our room had a strong, unpleasant smell of disinfectant. The nature of the furnishings and their arrangement was such that it was difficult to enter the bed from one side. The desk staff erroneously did duplicate billing for the room when we checked in (at a lower rate than we paid on hotels.com) but the manager notified us of the mistake and corrected it when we checked out. Overall an acceptable experience but not worth going out of your way for.

My night at the Sunrise Inn was relaxing and quiet. They allow dogs and charge a very minimal fee, which is hard to find while traveling. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy, but woke up to the most amazing and extensive sculpture by Billy Tripp, right behind the motel!

This is a mostly clean, comfortable room. Bonus points for a microwave and small fridge. The front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable but my husband thought his side dipped into the middle. Great internet or satellite TV. Tons of channels. They are also clearly remodeling and upgrading the rooms which is nice. Nice thick towels too. Unfortunately I didn't realize how tall the cement step up to our room was (checking in late and tired) and tripped and feel hard onto the concrete sidewalk. I think it should have been painted yellow to bring more attention to it. Also, while the bed seemed clean, there were still a few places that I found crumbs and small pieces of trash on the floors. The bathroom door needed paint touch ups. Finally, it was further off the Interstate than I thought it would be.

Zero complaints!
For $57/night, I expected to be uncomfortable and probably. Sunrise Inn was a pleasant surprise! 100% worth the drive off the interstate. The staff was sweet and pleasant. The beds were comfortable. The AC worked great, the bathroom was clean, the tv & internet worked. I have no complaints! Also, it sits right next to Tennessee’s largest sculpture! Real cool.

Not worth it. Bad location.
Not a safe place to stay. Young men were trying to break into the ATM machine as we were moving our things in our room. Room smelled. I do not recommend the place.

This motel was a fantastic find. The staff was just great and the room was excellent. The restaurant behind the motel was very good. It is not right off the highway, but that is a good thing. We could not have been happier.

I was just passing through on a road trip. All I need is a secure room and a decent bed, and Sunrise delivered. The downside is that the nearest eating was a few miles away and very limited. The motel itself was clean, comfy and quiet.

wow What a great place.
I booked the room and the bed was so comfortable and freshly painted and super clean.It is right in town very convenient.The owners are super nice and it did have a coffee pot and a phone.

Fun unique place.
What a fun place. The staff and owners were very friendly. The "art" nearby made it interesting. We had a laugh about the elevated beds. It was a unique and fun addition. We would definitely stay again if in the area.
