Very Nice and Affordable Room

Posted Aug 9, 2017
We stayed one night on a travelling layover from SLC airport to the national parks (Grand Teton / Yellowstone). We were very happy with the facility as it had a B&B feel to it. The porch and front courtyard area were gorgeous. It is an older hotel with only 20+ rooms. Our room reminded me of my spare bedroom at home: clean with minimal older furniture, but it was comfortable. The 3 staff members we encountered were all very friendly and warm. We .loved the location which was close to the main square so we could walk to many restaurants/bars etc. The breakfast was included in the price and was the main reason I picked this affordable hotel. I would definitely recommend the Alpine House!

Wonderful quiet lodge, right on edge of town

Posted Aug 8, 2017
Pros: Breakfasts, beautiful grounds, snacks at night, small and right in town
Cons: new pillows
Location: Location is in the town of Jackson. You are in walking distance to all the shops, food and sounds of Jackson
Beautiful lodge which provided wonderful breakfasts and had a homey feel. The grounds were beautiful. The inside was lovely. It was in town, and we could ride the bikes that they provided around town. We went out to eat each night, which we could walk to from the lodge. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful location, warm, friendly and relaxing

Posted Jul 30, 2017
Location: The location was perfect to all things in downtown Jackson Hole. Also very convenient to the local bus to TETON VILLAGE $3 a ride!
This was such a wonderful find, not a typical hotel, it had such a fun, relaxing vibe. Felt like a Bed and Breakfast, but private rooms. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved sitting out on the patio, plenty of tables and seating for lots of guests to do this with a nice yard and garden and a white picket fence that made you feel at home. The breakfasts that came with the lodging were better than most restaurants. I'd go back anytime!

Pros: Snacks
Cons: Bigger, more comfortable rooms
Location: Could walk to shops
It was 90 degrees on the day we arrived and we were given a room WITHOUT AIR CONDITIONING!! It was VERY HOT and UNCOMFORTABLE. After talking to staff, they found us an air conditioned room for PART of our stay. We had to move rooms THREE out of FOUR DAYS. For summer time travel, we need air conditioned rooms. WE WILL NOT USE EXPEDIA AGAIN!!

Very European and environmentally friendly

Posted Jul 28, 2017
Pros: The bikes, library, spa, location, fast wifi, free parking, just about everything.
Cons: Other than a little desk in the room, nothing (except my husband wanted bacon for breakfast)
Location: Jackson is very crowded in Summer with visitors from all over the world. It is close to the Tetons and Yellowstone. You can river raft, hike and bike.
I expected a much smaller place from the description and was pleasantly surprised by the size and amenities. The staff were very nice. Christina got us into our room early after a long tiring drive. Breakfast was wonderful. They loan you bikes to ride around the town. Parking is plentiful and free. The location was great. We were able to walk down the street for dinner and then around the block to see the sites. The only reason I did not give them a 5 for room comfort was there was no desk for my laptop in the room. The library possibly offsets that lack, as well as the 24 hour coffee tea and cookies. Altogether a very nice experience staying at Alpine House.

Very nice but be aware!

Nice place but our room had NO air conditioning! I had no idea. Should have complained as soon as we checked in but thought it would be okay even with summer temps. Uh, no. Wife had to be talked out of going out to sleep in the car with the a/c on. A shame really, because it was otherwise excellent.
