Hotel could use some TLC.

We've stayed in many Country Inn and Suites and most have been nice. However this hotel does need some TLC. Things looked very tired and worn, even the towel rack was rusty.

Great for the price, sketchy neighborhood

Decided to book this room while shopping for a house in JAX. Really enjoyed my stay there. Staff is great and water pressure is nutz! Neighborhood is sketchy but they keep their spot clean and nice. Room was a little dirty upon arrival. Alot of long black hairs in the shower and bathroom area. Slept in much worse for more $$ though.

I was overcharged by the Hotel and was misinformed by your staff at the time of the reservation. We were supposed to get a group discount and your representative informed us incorrectly that the discount would be applied a the front desk. The rate should had been between $79 and $99, however Hotels.com charged $107 on the reservation and Country Inn charged $116. Please advise how you can help us to correct this issue. I have put a call to the hotel manager, but haven't heard back. Anny Falgas

Unfortunately, there was not group discount set up for the tennis tournament your were attending. Nothing was set up with the hotel. Also you booked via hotels.com and not directly with the hotel and so we are not the ones that set up your reservations. You were not over charged you were charged the exact amount that you agreed to when confirming your reservations on Hotels.com. We have discussed this multiple times during your stay. The hotel was locked if you didn't have a card, which you don't have until you check in. Completely inconvenient for arrival. Upon entering the room, it appeared the room wasn't cleaned before we got there. I can't comment on the free breakfast as we wouldn't eat there after seeing the room. Pay a little more and stay somewhere else.

Dear Guest, Sorry that you felt the inconvenience about the doors being locked, but for the security of our guests at 11 pm we do lock the doors and do need a key to get into the door, we do have an agent at the desk for late arrivals and a house phone to verify your credentials. This is all standard security processes I do apologize that you did not find the room clean, but I can assure you that we do clean our rooms very deeply after every guest. Great Service

Pros: Service and amenities
Hotel is dated, but the service and amenities make up for it. From the minute you walk in, you can tell they want to please you. There is NOTHING lacking at this hotel. Good breakfast, some sort of food in the afternoons, cookies all day, waters in the small (dated) workout room, (But can use LA Fitness), mints by your bed, etc...... Most important was the front desk staff(especially the guy) who genuinely made you feel welcome.
