Nice Hotel, close to shopping, food and interstate

Pros: Location
Location: Lots to do nearby, eat, shop or go to the beach!! Easy to navigate around.
Great hotel, only complaint was that the AC unit kept clicking on and off ALL NIGHT LONG. A bit on the loud side, so take ear plugs for Z-Quil if you plan on sleeping.

Mediocre Hotel for Crowne Plazas

I was quite surprised to find this hotel close to airport to be mediocre for a Crowne Plaza hotel. The lobby area was very beautiful and expected the same with rooms but this was not what I received. The room was very old and outdated with a loud air conditioning unit. The most disappointed thing was that the mattress was encased with plastic. I only thought this was for those that wet the bed and it was very uncomfortable and every time you moved you heard the plastic. I travel a lot and spend lots of time in hotels and have to say this is the first time that I encountered plastic covering on the mattress - what was it covering up - possible bed bugs?

Thank you for your comments. The covers are to protect the mattress and to maintain high level of cleanliness. Regarding your comment, our hotel takes these accusations very seriously and the hotel has active programs in place to check for such issues. In addition to our efforts, the hotel spends thousands of dollars each year with a pest control company that inspects and does preventive maintenance in our hotel and all guest rooms on a weekly basis. Perfect stop for trip up from the Florida Keys

Pros: It had a very comfortable atmosphere.
Cons: I brought my 10 pound dog and was charged $75. I think $50 would have been more reasonable.
Location: My husband flew in from NY to join me and the location could not have been better.
Hotel was very helpful in providing me me with refrigeration for my medication. Front desk service was top notch. Room service provided excellent service And dinner was very good and served promptly. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast at restaraunt was terrific.

Great getaway

The hotel was nice and so was the staff. The bartender made great drinks. Indoor pool was heated and very clean. Walking distance to a great shopping and eating experience. We will return.

Nice pool

The best thing about this hotel is the pool. Coming in a close second is the little restaurant where you can have breakfast (for an additional charge). The rooms, however, especially the outside rooms are not very "clean". Each time I woke up during the night to go to the bathroom, when I turned on the light, roaches would scatter. They were isolated to the sink area and crawled along the walls & ceiling. I did not get a good night's sleep for fear of roaches possibly crawling on or near me. When I spoke to the associate, she simply said she would have maintenance take a look. She did not seem concerned at all.
