Disappointed in Fernandina

The close proximity to the beach was very convenient. The breakfast was decent, however, the room was beat to heck!! The carpet was spongy and toilet wouldn't shut off.

not as pleased with the hotel as I was last time

did not enjoy all the drunk people at the swimming pool that was not even staying there...they continued to curse and throw out the F word every other word it seemed in font of my 3 grandsons,aged 4 to 13 and also my great nieces who range in age from 3 to 12.Very inappropriate.the bathtub was falling apart

we had roaches in our room I told desk in am before we left for the day clerk asked if we want another room I stated no just spray. We returned to our room that evening no roaches. In am while packing I saw roaches in bathroom. When we checked out I told the clerk at the desk they needed to spray again then the young lady I spoke with the day before about spraying spoke we did spray maintanence said spray to strong she stated we tried to call but we got no answer on your cell. I told her my cell was off all day why did she not leave a note on the door or let them know at the desk. We were at the desk three times before we went to our room. Also the dog next door barked often when persons walked by.

People in room next door was loud n at 3 am playing super loud music but staff was nice

seafood festival

i stay at days inn because it is close to restarurants, i like. i is not far from the festival for the 3 days i usually stay. the room i stay is clean and has a tv. the price is a little high, for what i get, but it is the going rate for all the hotels/motels in the area during festival . the breakfast is standard, but not outstanding. the personnel ate politte, but not friendly. i must say the maid service is above normal. it was hard to get front desk to give me any referral to new places to try, so i used the places i knew. i will probabley stay here again.

Poor conditions / Health hazard

The room was poor and a health hazard. Carpet was filthy. Shower rod was rusted and falling apart. Visible dirt in light fixture and fan. Toilet handle was broken. We had to take the top off of the back of the toilet in order to manually adjust the stopper in the tank so it wouldn't run continuously. Walls were thin. Very noisy. I found a flea on my leg. We won't stay here again.
