The hotel was close to the beach.

The beds was too small and the room has a smell to it ....and in room 110 the bathroom door kept getting stuck and making a load noise that kept waking everyone up. The breakfast was nice and people was friendly.

Pros: Did not like it. Will not stay here again
Cons: The carpets need to be cleaned at least or perhaps changed entirely.
The room had a couple of issues like a clogged toilet and a door lock that was intermittent but was generally clean and acceptable with one major exception. The carpet was filthy. I don't mean dirty, I mean filthy. So much so that the soles of our feet became black if we walked barefoot on the carpet. We had to wear our shoes inside or wash our feet before going to bed or putting on socks and shoes to go out. We also saw a couple German cockroaches. The staff was very attentive and quick to assist us. the fault has to lie in the management not keeping up on steam cleaning the carpets on a regular basis.

Nice, older, clean hotel close to beach

Older hotel, recently remodeled. Clean rooms. Large pool. Basic "complimentary" breakfast. Will stay her again.

seafood festival

i stay at days inn because it is close to restarurants, i like. i is not far from the festival for the 3 days i usually stay. the room i stay is clean and has a tv. the price is a little high, for what i get, but it is the going rate for all the hotels/motels in the area during festival . the breakfast is standard, but not outstanding. the personnel ate politte, but not friendly. i must say the maid service is above normal. it was hard to get front desk to give me any referral to new places to try, so i used the places i knew. i will probabley stay here again.

Poor conditions / Health hazard

The room was poor and a health hazard. Carpet was filthy. Shower rod was rusted and falling apart. Visible dirt in light fixture and fan. Toilet handle was broken. We had to take the top off of the back of the toilet in order to manually adjust the stopper in the tank so it wouldn't run continuously. Walls were thin. Very noisy. I found a flea on my leg. We won't stay here again.

Days inn

Overpriced!! The busiest weekend in Fernandina and the hot tub didn't work at all, and the 2nd day the pool was closed. Really????? Checkout was 11am and at 9am we had the cleaning lady come in our room while we were still in bed!! We will never stay there again!

Top sheet was dirty. Holes in the wall. Lukewarm water for shower & drain plug broken. Very outdated for the price. Will not be staying here again
