not worth the money

Cons: Staff friendliness, restaurant prices too high, shuttle driver could benefit from a customer service class.
Location: very close the airport, but the shuttle takes too long to pick you up. I went to the Jacksonville Zoo, the mall, and few stores near by.
hotel staffs were rude and not polite. They never explain me that there was a parking charge until I later saw it on my credit card. The room was ok, nothing impressive for the price. The restaurant was overpriced and the food ok too. Overall, I would not stay again. I think it is too much money for what they offer. There are a lot of options near by. It is the closest hotel to the airport, but the shuttle takes a long time to pick you up and drop you off, making the trip to and from the hotel longer than other hotels a bit further from the airport. If you do stay, allow yourself plenty of time to go from and to the hotel to the airport.

Wifi never worked and they didn't care. $5 daily fee for parking wasn't announced until checkout.

Close to airport

Stayed for one night after a late night flight , this hotel is very close to airport and provide free shuttle. Clean spacious rooms, had a comfortable stay

Convenience to Airport, Shopping and Eating

Pros: My experience box tells all.
Cons: TV reception, Parking should be free for hotel patrons. Don't charge CC for incidentals beforehand. I know it's removed but not professional.
Location: For me, I was only in town for the Taxslayer Bowl Game. So the Airport and Stadium downtown was ideal for location and travel time. Eateries closeby
Overall, I thought my stay was exceptional. Great staff. Very clean hotel. Nice Restaurant and snack store. Convenience to what I needed while visiting Jacksonville. Though the issues I have with the Hotel were few. A couple stand out. The TV reception for a high end hotel such as this one. Very Poor in my room. Parking for 5.00 a night is great but I feel when you're a hotel guest you shouldn't have to pay to park at a hotel your staying in. My biggest issue wasn't having to place a CC on file if their are incidentals but pre-charging it 50.00 a day is flat out stealing. Even though you credit back to the CC if none are found. You shouldn't be pre-charging a persons card for something they've not done. To me, that's like going into a restaurant and they immediately take a CC or money before you even order food or going into a store to shop and they're charging you before you buy anything. Having it on file, is one thing. Pre-charging fees to it is another and for me that is non-professional. Then for a staff member to tell me when I called to question the charge showing on my CC that all hotels do it. NO THEY DON'T - I travel a lot and use of hotels is abundant in my travels. This is only the 2nd hotel that has required it and the other one didn't pre-charge my card. They just put it on file, in case they needed to do so. Also, I've stayed in other Double Tree Hiltons and the only state that pre-charged my CC was in Florida.

Got in late. had problem with door locks and key cards that took too long to resolve.

Excellent customer service. Guy gave us free warm cookies. The bar is great. Can't get any closer to an airport. I highly recommend this hotel. Get the big burger. Don't know the name. But unreal.

Very close the airport

This hotel is very close to the airport. Very quiet and clean. However breakfast is little bit expensive, I think. Nothing any more.
