Army Unit ReunionPosted Oct 19, 2015
Pros: Location. and bathroom was open and easy for a wheel chair to navigate with plenty of hand bars.
Cons: our room was right off the lobby and that made it a bit short and very tight for her wheel chair
Location: Hana Park is a definite plus, if you bike they have trails but there are plenty of quiet beaches. cash only at the gate so be prepared for that.
we were surprised about not being able to bring my wife's therapy dog in with her. A small crate trained cavalier king charles along with his crate which he would be in while we were not in the room. With much amazing luck when we arrived at 7pm made contact with a local vet/kennel who was able to keep him for us. That meant we could enjoy my unit reunion without worry, though we didn't swim in the pool it was clean, the room was clean but getting my wife's wheel chair between the bed and the bathroom door was tight everything else worked out - the fridge was a bit beaten up (no shelf, bottom part of door broken inside) but it kept our water and left overs cool. close to beach and every where we needed to go. Good location for all the meeting places for my event. The beach at the Hanna park was great and quiet. The pub "outback" was clean and neat and Kieth was a great bartender. Thanks for the stay all was good except for having tho jump hoops to find a place for my wife's small therapy dog. it would be nice to be able to get a shower chair for her but we made do.

Worst roomsPosted Sep 3, 2015
Pros: Nothing, even the cost didn't make up for the condition.
Cons: CLEAN THE ROOMS THOROUGHLY (DEEP CLEANING REQUIRED)
Location: Stay away from this hotel, even if it is close to the base.
Walked into my room, had cat poop sitting on the curtains, bathroom disgusting, bugs had left black stuff on all the lamp shades, etc. The room was gross and they didn't believe they had an infestation going on.

Terrible place to stay!!Posted Aug 26, 2015 on Hotels
This hotel was terrible! It looked nice from the outside. Inside the room was another story! The floors were not clean. The bedspreads on the beds had cigarette burns in them and I stayed in a non smoking room! There was four of us staying in the room and it only had two towels and washcloths. Trying to get more for all of us was a problem. I really wished that I could have gotten my money back. Our two kids cried because they did not want to stay in the room at all!

Pass this one by - you dont get what you pay forPosted Aug 12, 2015 on Hotels
I had a reservation and they gave my room away saying I didn't check in in time. That's fine, but they also tried to charge me a night. I asked why charge a night if the room was used and they were 100% full and the lady at the front desk got mad at me. Luckily hotels.com found me a new room elsewhere and refunded me the hotel fee. The hotel is very old, but if you don't mind people with doors open, drinking and smoking drugs then this place is ok-I stayed there about a year ago for two weeks and it was barely acceptable and I would not take my family there.

Unsanitary and disappointingPosted Aug 5, 2015 on Hotels
While I didn't expect a stellar hotel for this price, I was also not expecting unsanitary conditions. I was hoping to be able to share pictures in this review as well. Upon walking into our non-smoking room, we were hit with the strong smell of cigarette smoke and febreeze. The carpets were filthy and heavily stained. When I pulled down the bedspread, I discovered what looked like a large blood stain on the bedspread. I called the front desk to request new bedding. I did not receive an apology for this disgusting discovery, just told it "could be bleach or anything". This was a large RED stain on an orange bedspread, definitely not bleach. Under the mini-fridge, there was a layer of mold which had clearly been there for some time, as the wood beneath was warped and cracking. The bathroom fan was non-functioning, but did bring in additional cigarette odor from the room behind ours, which was a smoking room. Additionally, there was black mold on the bathroom ceiling. My young daughter found a pair of dirty mens boxers under the bed, so clearly the rooms are also not cleaned thoroughly between visitors. I wasn't expecting a large breakfast, but what we found was highly disappointing. The only protein items were peanut butter packets or watered down milk. Other than that, there were pastries with flies hovering, or a waffle iron with watered down batter. I feel like I may as well have chosen at $30/night hotel and been more satisfied.

Great staff. Room is outdated and mold in bathroom. Brewkfast was surprisingly good. Felt safe though.
