There is a reason why I don’t rush to book hotels and doing this one was the biggest mistake of my vacation. But for only paying $67 a night I guess you get what you pay for.

Decent hotel for the money

Pros: Staff and location
Cons: Updates to bathrooms would be nice but not required
Location: In the Bay Meadows area of Jacksonville and very close to the interstate which gives you fast access to anything in Jax.
I stayed in this hotel over Easter weekend to visit my grandson and his parents for his baptism. It is an extended stay so it has a kitchenette, which was expected, but what was unexpected was that the suite (1 bedroom) has two full bathrooms!! I was very thankful for that since four of us were staying there. Now, the suite wasn't shiny and new, but it was clean, and that is really all I need. I plan to visit the Jacksonville area more often because of my grandson, and I will choose this hotel each time I stay. The staff was welcoming and accommodating, and I'll be able to bring my own food and cook while I'm there to save money on eating out. Everything seemed to work well. I was very satisfied by these accommodations.

Cons: Cleaner and get rid of cigarette smoke smell in hallways
Hotel was ok. It served is purpose. The beds were comfortable and the shower worked with plenty of hot water.. They had provided plenty of towel. The hotel could be cleaner and there was an unusual smell in the hallways.

Not so good experience

A.C was not cold . Makes the whole room warm. Room smelled like smoke . elevators were dirty and smelled like smoke.

when we get to the hotel they have our reservation wrong which was for 2 rooms because there were 8 of us , we all get stuck in one room sleeping on the floor , the whole room smelled of cat urine...terrible experience . i love the Extended Stays but the one in Baymeadows was horrific

Worst place to stay

I booked this hotel via expedia after 12 hours of drive and tired. The hotel and surroundings look creepy and unclean. Uncleaned litter and dry leaves all over. I see a a lot of guests and employees smoking right next to main door. the lobby smell stinky. At front desk i see a note that the front desk personal is helping other guest and wait patiently. 15 minutes later the front desk staff shown up and took another 15 mins. to check in. Terrible. Room was horrible and unclean. Elevator is unclean. Bed sheets and pillows look dirty. Refrigerator is unclean and dirty. There is no knob to bath tub Toilet tissue holder was broken and placed on top of counter top. No place to hand my tissue roll. Bath tub is unclean and dirty. Many more.. I would not recommend this place to stay even though you get a room for free of cost.

Disgusting and disappointed

I came out of town to Jacksonville for my birthday and this hotel ruined my weekend. The second I walked in I smelled wet dog.Theres a layer of dust coated the light switches . Remote was so sticky. I normally bring disinfectant when I stay in hotels and I HAD TO CLEAN OFF THE COUNTERS AND TABLES BEFORE I COULD USE THEM. The 'kitchenette' was filthy. The microwave was so dirty mold was growing on the inside of it. Under the microwave there was so much damage and rust...just old and gross. And to top it off when I checked under the sheets there were LITTLE BLACK PUBIC HAIRS. Disgusting. One of our sheets has a mysterious white substance stain on it....We also requested new sheets and received some with BURN HOLES. DO NOT STAY HERE. It is like the staff has no pride in their work. Maybe if the spent their time cleaning instead of outside smoking cigarettes I wouldn't have been so dissatisfied. after leaving we were so itchy...must've been from the nasty sheets. Never staying at another extended stay again.

Not good at all

We got here, we had 4 rooms reserved and the person at the front desk told us that we only have 3. When we get to the rooms, the sofa bed was not ready, so we call front desk and they told me that I should wait until 2 am to get the sheets for the sofa bed. I am traveling with 15 kids for a soccer game. On their website says breakfast is included, just 3 coffee machines.

poctures does no justice

I reserved a non smoking room and upon arrival I received a room that reeked of smoke. Since it was late in the night I did not want to deal with switching rooms and just dealt with the smell and tried to get some sleep and leave. I don’t know if it’s me but everytime I take my chance at a Extended Stay America Hotel I always encounter some sort of issues. This will be my last time I use this chain again.

Hotel advertised was deceiving

Location: I was there for a business meeting not pleasure
I stayed here for a business meeting I came to Jacksonville for. I have never stayed at a hotel that was so opposite of what they advertise on their website. No coffee pot in the room, then there was no coffee ready in the hotel lobby, they said they hadn’t gotten to it yet, it was 7:30 in the morning! There where people arguing loudly when I arrived and the next morning at 5am there was a someone repeatedly locking & unlocking their car which finally woke me up. There was also police presence on another morning! TERRIBLE HOTEL! Should have slept in my very nice rental car!
