excellent location but terrible breakfastPosted Sep 22, 2015
Location: excellent on and off location with tons of things around there to see
the hotel was perfect with the exception of breakfast. would suggest just skipping it altogether and just hitting up a dennys or cracker barrel and not waste any time

Great location and very friendly staffPosted Sep 16, 2015
Pros: The staff
Cons: The beds were a little uncomfortable. They didn't feel like most of the beds at other Hampton Inn hotels.
Location: St. Johns Town Center, The Avenues Mall, Deerwood Playground, Nature walk at Univ. of North Florida
Our family took a little end of summer trip to Jacksonville and chose this hotel because of it's location and our love of Hampton Inn hotels. The location is excellent. You are on a quiet street but you are close to I-295, restaurants, Gate Pkwy, a grocery store, and a bunch of restaurants. We have two little ones so it was important to be close to a playground or an area we could go for walks. There is playground on Gate Pkwy on the other side of I-295 and the property is in a quiet neighborhood so going for walks was not a problem. We were only there for four days but the staff really took the time to interact with us and our kids. By the end of our stay the staff knew our kids names and that we needed a high chair for breakfast and dinner. The housekeeping staff was great. They always provided us with extra garbage bags and they were also careful not to make too much noise if they came in while my youngest was napping. We will definitely stay there again.

Convient to hospital but dated and dusty.Posted Sep 2, 2015
Not happy with room cleanliness or noise from elevator right across from room. Also view out the window was a wall & a roof drain.

We needed a quick stop for the night. Staff was friendly, good restaurant in walking distance. Only problem was a loose hook in the bathroom.

Great place to stayPosted Jul 6, 2015 on Hotels
Everything was wonderful. Room so comfy. Nothing bad to say except.... The breakfast staff doesn't get paid enough to deal with the rude guests. If you read a recent review and it said anything about them....ignore. They were swamped and trying to keep up. Doing a great job I might add. Felt bad for the rudeness towards them.

Quiet & CleanPosted Jul 1, 2015
Pros: Cleanliness. Size of room. Fridge for insulin. Breakfast. Good location near our son's family.
Location: we were there to see our son. location to his house was good. Also, to Walgreen's Pharmacy since my husband needed to get his meds.
We were visiting our son and family. The Hampton Inn Baymeadow was near his house. The staff was very friendly and courteous when we arrived. Our room was large and clean. We had a fridge for our insulin. The breakfast was excellent, and the woman kept the food stocked, and the area very clean. The desk staff answered questions we had. It was a very pleasant experience, and we would stay there again.
