Close to port for cruise ship

Pros: location
Location: No restaurants with in walking distance great for a cruise
Port for cruise ships only a few miles down the road. Nice stay. No restaurants you can walk to for dinner.

The air conditioning was very loud

Cons: The airconditiong unit was noisy
room was excellent but airconditioning was noisy made it hard for me to sleep

Decent hotel.

Pros: Pets were allowed. We just got a new puppy and I did not want to leave her home alone.
Cons: Staff
Location: It is in a pretty good location.
The rooms were fairly clean but very small. The employees at the hotel were not friendly at all and seemed as if it was an inconvenience for them to help you. You would have to stand at the desk for a long period of time before anyone would help you.

Located near several things we were there for

Pros: Location, clean, friendly, felt safe
Location: Great restaurants , zoo, and a few other things to do
Everyone was so helpful and kind! Including the cleaning staff! Very good location & well lite up at night. Breakfast was delicious, and kept monitored. Will visit again :)

Holiday Inn Express Jacksonville

Pros: Other than the failure of my reservation, it is a good hotel, clean with good service.
Cons: If you make a reservation, don't give it away.
Location: Location was convenient and close to the interstate. It was an overnight stop and we did not spend any time in the area.
The reason I rated the hotel so low was they did not honor our reservation. I reserved a handicap accessible room for my wife who is severely disabled. When we got there we were told they had overbooked and no accessible rooms were available. They did try to get us into another hotel but there were none available. They upgraded us to a suite which was very nice but did not meet my wife's needs. They also said our stay would be free and they would not bill Expedia.

came to stay before and after our cruise.

Pros: clean, quite, close to cruise terminals. great $10 shuttle price to the cruise terminals.
Cons: no airport shuttle, had to take cabs.
Location: This was only thing that lacked in the area, we did not have many close options. there was one fast food restaurant and one gas station nearby.
Friendly staff, great shuttle to/from cruise terminal. clean, quiet rooms. great breakfast and pool area.

Great Hotel, Staff was awesome!

Cons: no
Location: Easy on and off of 295. Close to the zoo and cruise terminal.
Flew in to go on a cruise with my family. Got there early, were allowed to check in and rest. Staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms were nice and clean. Had a small child with us and it was great to have access to laundry. Used their service to get to and from the cruise ship.

Two nights in the Holiday Inn Express

Pros: Highway convenience; appears to be recently decorated.
Cons: Hot water
Location: Close to highways. Not much to do in the area unless you drive to downtown Jacksonville.
It is close to I-295 and I-95 as well as JAX so it is good for travelers. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. Rate includes breakfast which is good since you do not have to look for a place to eat breakfast. Dinner restaurants were not close by other than a Wendy's which I would not consider a dinner restaurant. Hot water could have been hotter in the bathroom. Otherwise a nice place at a reasonable price.
