If perfection was a place... this is it. This gorgeous, Victorian-style home is beautifully appointed and conveniently located close to the beach as well as amazing restaurants and an adorably walkable downtown area. -- The home itself is elegant and comfortable with an atmosphere that is quietly romantic. Each guest room is perfectly and uniquely decorated. We especially enjoyed the abundance of conversation areas and reading nooks. It is also well-stocked with anything a guest may need for a comfortable stay. -- The hosts were welcoming, friendly and truly personable. They also have an extensive knowledge of the area so they are a wonderful resource for local points of interest. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious and served by the nicest staff ever. -- This was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast. We loved it so much that we asked to extend our stay, which our hosts heartily granted. If we could give a rating higher than 5-star, we would.

It was nise to beanle to park and walk to restaurants and shops. They provided bikes and beach chairs as well. The front porch was a nice area to relax and people watch. Tge back yard pool area was inviting as well.

We were around the entire time and spoke with you many times during your stay. At any point you could have mentioned your expectations. However, instead you never did and when you left told us what a pleasurable time you had. Hmmmm

Great location, walkable to town. Home is impeccable with beautiful rooms and lovely gardens. We did not go in the pool (it was cold) but they were well kept. Very secure. Definitely would return.

Couldn't have asked for a better stay - other than the weather. :) Hosts are super friendly. Room was perfect for us. We've been looking for a replacement for the B&B we used to go to when we lived in Minnesota. We just may have found it. I'm pretty certain we'll be back!

The staff was wonderful. Check in a breeze. The ONLY reason we marked this less than the full 5 stars was the breakfast. The hashbrown egg casserole. was over baked - the same vegetarian casserole 2 days in a row, was extremely underwhelming. The scone was fabulous - but we could not eat breakfast there 3 days in a row.

What wonderful place to stay, easy access, right downtown near the shops and restaurants. They hosted a social hour in the late afternoon, which was very nice to meet the owner and the other guests. Super breakfast to start your day. Could not say enough nice things about this b&b, area, and owners/staff. Will be back for sure

The owners were so accomodating to our food preferences and the cooking was wonderful! What a treat! I was so surprised to be offered drinks in the little bar when we arrived. All of the guests were laid back and friendly. Exactly what we needed. PS: great mattress!

A delightful B&B right at the edge of Fernandina Beach Historic District and with a range of shops and dining options within five minutes' walk. Our room was very comfortable and beautifully decorated, and our hosts were most attentive and helpful. One point to note is that Hoyt House is a historic building so it has limited soundproofing. It is right next to what has become a busy road with trailers delivering wood to the paper mill just to the north, so if you are a light sleeper you may want to be aware of this. (The owners do helpfully provide earplugs.) However this is a minor point and was far outweighed for us by the lovely decor and facilities (a long way from a standard boring hotel room) and the proximity to the historic shopping area.

Wonderful B&B, lovely house, great pool and hot tub. Hosts were great, excellent breakfast. Easy stroll to restaurants and a great brew haus (First Love) directly behind the Hoyt House. Excellent communication pre-arrival through departure.

The hosts were very nice. The home itself was lovely. It is a perfect location for walking, shopping, and eating downtown. Cons: beds are very soft, coffee was very weak, rooms can be pretty noisy due to street location and traditional wood doors.

Hi Jenny, Your mattress wasn't "soft". It's a brand new Memory Foam mattress with a 2" topper on top to make it soft & comphy. Thank you for your feedback

Hi Thomas. So sorry to hear you were unsatisfied. I'm surprised you never mentioned anything to us. You were very verbal during check in and also very verbal during social hour. I'm the one that told you the room was warm because we just had the Air Conditioning fixed that morning and it was still cooling off. Your wife told me she LOVES it warm and you said you didn't. Also, IF you want a continental breakfast like they serve at a Holiday Inn Express, then you should have gone there. We do not do that. You were with us 2 breakfasts. As verbal as you are, you could have asked for that the next day. Next time you stay somewhere, make sure you tell management and the hospitality world will do their best to see that you have a great time.
