Close to downtownPosted Sep 1, 2015
Pros: Comfortable bed
Cons: Mini fridge
Location: Jags stadium, downtown jacksonville
The room was okay, it did not have a mini fridge to keep items cool and the ice machine down stairs was out of ice.

Monies Worth Stay!Posted Aug 18, 2015 on Hotels
We appreciate everything in our last minute reservation. The room was fresh smelling, we received things that were missing at another hotel. We only wish the bathroom tub shower water would run out faster and the water leaked at pipe behind the toilet. The breakfast was nice, lots of healthy choices. Milk needs to go on ice. The front desk clerk was very considerate and pleasant to us. Parking was very convenient. No bugs and no roaches were found, a big plus!

Building is old and decaying. Vending machines to include ice machine did not work. Area is known for drugs and homeless types. Saw the meaning of this when a homeless man was shaving his head by the washing machine.

Pros: The toilets flushed and the water pressure was good. The king bed was comfy.
Cons: a lot. see above.
Location: Bad road construction around made it difficult to navigate. Otherwise the location would have been fairly convenient for downtown activities.
"Breakfast" was apparently over at 9 on the weekend. So we missed it the second day. But, there was only yogurt toast, waffle and cereal anyway. No fruit, no decaf, no protein of any sort. The last 3 Super 8's we stayed at had great breakfasts. No ice; machine beeped next to our room and had to call each night before being able to sleep. Bathrooms had water damaged walls, frames, ceiling. Sink faucet was not screwed in and nearly fell off. The shower faucet was the same. I certainly wasn't expecting a lot for the price, but this was not up to a Super 8 standard by far.

DIRTY,FILTHY PLACEPosted Jul 31, 2015 on Hotels
horrible, horrible horrible!!!this is my first and last time ever staying at a super 8 hotel, this hotel is dingy dirty and smelly, the clerk said breakfast ends at 10 but wen u get there at 9 ,they telling us breakfast is over, sheets was filthy, bathroom tub was dirty,no toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, outside was pitch dark. once u checked in and need something from the front desk,u can forget about it,ac wasnt working, they sent a mantence to our room at 12 am at night,he tryn to fix the ac,but he couldnt fix after tryn for bout 20 minutes then they decide to move us to another room, and that room was just like the other one,i couldnt wait til daylight hit,i was excited to get the heck out of there! no more super 8 for me,they wont give u no refund, adjust ur bill,or nothing.

"NEED A MAKEOVER"Posted Jul 28, 2015 on Hotels
The room was clean, I killed 3 roaches, the coffee pot needed a through cleaning out from coffee grounds left up in the pot, we flushed it SEVERAL times trying to clear the pot of those left grinds, the three tables in the dining area needs new coverings or new tables (one was rocky). Please, the linens were DULL as DULL could be, as though they had not had any bleach for over two years or so. I asked for more linen because the ones was in there just didn't look clean, perhaps just didn't look like a clean rinse had went through them. Some of the fixtures had rusted out such as the toilet tissue fixture. One visitor state to me that if he was going to pay $200.00 per night, he needed a more up to date room, which he asked to be moved and they did because they had signed me to that room just before he was moved. I also asked for another room and not go in that one. The OUTSIDE ENTRANCES need a through painting. The whole place need an overall make over. Please throw away the OLD LINEN and replace them with some NEW ONES.ALL THE ABOVE ARE ABSOLUTELY THE TRUTH.
