Hi Marie, thanks for leaving a suggestion. It's difficult with cable here as they only have Spanish speaking channels and even with the best cable package it's limited. So last week we made a huge investment and upgraded all of our rooms to have Smart TVs with Chromecast and GoogleTV. So guests will now be able to stream all their favorite shows on Netflix, Disney, Amazon, Youtube, etc. Thousands of channels and options are now available.

Thank you for the review. Sometimes I think Costa Rica means ants. We do spray each month, but with allowing people to have food and drinks in the room. Of course the critters want to eat too

Thank you for your feedback. We would like to address some of your points. First there is a bus stop at the end of the road 800 meters away, but you never asked us about buses. Jaco is 10 minutes away by car and we offered you shuttle service at a reduced rate, less than a taxi. You never asked us for a refund. Just came to reception on the first morning and said you wanted to be around more people, even thought the hotel was full, and that you couldn't walk anywhere. We offer a free shuttle to the beach or a ride to Jaco. Your reply was that you were going to rent a car. So we called the rental company to have them bring one to the hotel. Then we received a call from Expedia that you wanted a refund, not a word from you. You also lied to Expedia about the room to get that refund. As our cancellation police is 48 hours you were only entitled to a refund of 1 out of the 4 nights booked. You had stayed the first night and then canceled the next day. We did not refund the night of the day you cancelled, but refunded the other two nights booked beyond that. As for finding us, we find that strange, taxi drivers regularly find our hotel and we are on Google maps and Waze. However, as you told me your taxi driver charged you $160 for a $120 ride, perhaps he didn't want to find the hotel so he could charge you more?? We are glad you recognized that we are a nice hotel and a retreat away for Jaco. That is the thing that our guests love about us. They love the tranquility of Costa Rican nature.
