Beautiful hotel, poor service
This hotel is beautiful. We chose a room in the middle of the price range, and it was wonderful with an extra seating area and a stunning bathroom. The service, however, did not match that quality. After we checked in, I tried calling housekeeping to ask for more hangars (only three in the closet for two people for four days) and glasses. Phone didn't work, so I went to the front desk to ask. Nothing happened, so the next day I found someone from housekeeping and was promised the items would be sent right away. Nothing happened. I gave up and draped my clothes over the closet rod. The glasses, even in our bathroom, never once were changed during the four days, so we rinsed them out as best we could. Wifi never worked. Breakfasts were adequate, nothing special. The only truly good service was in the rooftop restaurant where we enjoyed pleasant dinners.

Beautiful property that is hidden away from the hustle of Jaipur's tourist core. The interiors are truly beautiful. Courteous and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend!

Nice, Comfortable hotel
We stayed for three nights as part of a visit to Jaipur and Agra. The hotel is beautiful, it is lavishly furnished and recreates a sense of days of old. We arrived late at night and had been given a twin bedded room rather than the KIng sized bed we had booked. In the morning, after a disturbed nights sleep due to sleeping in a single sized bed I requested a room change which at first they told me was not possible due to the hotel being full. After an unnecessary heated discussion the room change was made available. The following lunch time food in the restaurant was from a limited menu due to staffing issues which meant we couldn't eat what we would have liked. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choice and good quality. Wifi was very poor. It was a comfortable stay but a little spoilt by not being given the room that was booked and then argumentative reception staff not wishing to change the room.

Good location. We were in a standard room a floor below the terrace and unfortunately it was very noisy at night with tables and chairs being moved. One of the bed covers did have a mark on it. The staff were helpful and checked that you were happy with everything.

Wonderful service in a beautiful hotel
My second stay here and I'd recommend this hotel without a doubt. The staff are friendly, professional, courteous and try their very best to accommodate guests' requests. The breakfast buffet was great, everything looked fresh and clean and it was nice to have the garden just outside the restaurant. Shahpura House is ornate and a one-of-a-kind place :) Stay here if you're in Jaipur.

Honestly one of the best hotels EVER.
Lovely decor although a bit stuffy. Very clean. Bathroom is a thing of joy. I believe the Internet is fast but I can’t remember. Staff is courteous and thoughtful. They cleaned my room in the morning and again when I went out again in the evening without being asked. Very thoughtful. Stuff is also informative and helpful. Nice breakfast selection. Nice pool and spa. Very reasonable taxi prices. Will definitely stay there again

Best hotel experience ever. It's not the most luxury nor biggest one I've ever stayed. However, you can feel how much hotel staff cared for the guests. Also, the hotel has a very unique, beautiful and cozy environment which make you feel comfortable just like home.

This hotel exceeded all expectations, from the moment of our arrival to the minute that we left, we were treated like royalty, everyone was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were so spacious and so beautiful, the decor is out of this world, I can't wait to go back, I will only stay at this hotel!

Raj Palace that’s a living, breathing residence
Raj Palace that’s a living, breathing residence. We spent almost an hour exploring every nook and cranny in this amazingly beautiful, historic property. The staff simply wanted to do everything for you, ultra clean, bedroom appeared dated upon entry but was very, very comfortable with all modern amenities. Buffet breakfast was very good. Did not use spa services, hotel shop very fair value for price. Plenty of bottled water, no charge and local fruit only a phone call away. We hired a car to pick up at 00:30 (12:30am) to drive to Taj Mahal and then to New Delhi - Upon request this hotel had a fresh travel breakfast ready for the two of us when we checked out. They also helped out with translating with local cab drivers. Going from the Taj Mahal Towers in Mumbai (5-Star best hotel experience) to Shahpura House was like time traveling but still having an amazing hotel experience. We plan to visit Jaipur again and would stay here, no hesitation. Probably would pay for a higher level room with a terrace. I am so excited to share this review-these people get everything just right - different from the Taj, in a good way.

Awesome hotel
This hotel is located in a residential area. The entrance is unimpressive, but inside, it can rival any 4 star hotel. It is impecably clean! The hotel is a heritage building so it is full of character. It is beautifully done up! the areas for improvement are the towels and beddings. If these can be upgraded to international standards, it would be excellent. Bathroom fittings are hansgrohe! There are 3 restaurants within this hotel, and both local and western cuisine are available. Although this hotel is set in a residential area, I strongly recommend it for anyone who wants 4 star comfort and does not eat to stay in a typical international chain.

Exceptional experience
This hotel is a must experience, old castle was rebuilt into a hotel- boutique, the rooms are so beautiful and clean, decorated Indian royal style. Bathrooms are spacious, clean, with marble counter tops and floors. The staff is very friendly and goes out of their way to make guests feel welcomed. The hotel itself is so beautiful, after the check-out we spent another hour just wandering around and looking at all the beautiful decor. We were there for just one night and I can’t wait to go back and spend more time there.

Heritage Delight !!!
Had an amazing stay at Shahpura House with my Wife. We were hoping for a cozy getaway with a heritage twist and that's exactly what Shahpura House offered and delivered. Very Comfortable, Cozy and beautiful property with extremely warm hospitable service. Rooms are spacious and have all modern amenities required for a comfortable stay. Restaurants within the hotel have great food specially Rasa, the Indian Cuisine Restaurant. However, I believe the buffet breakfast spread was below par and can be improved with some additional variety and improvement in quality of food. Specially South Indian and Indian items in the buffet breakfast (Vada, Sambar, Dosa, Chutney, Paratha and Sabji) need considerable improvement and are much below par. All-in-all a very cozy, comfortable and warm experience for us at Shahpura House. A big thank you to the management and the staff for making us feel so comfortable and for a very enjoyable stay.

Really disappointed by this hotel. It's gone down hill in 2yrs and the service provided was very poor. Lacked basic elements and when issues were raised nothing was done about it. Even to the point where we could not have a second door card to access the room. Check it and out were terrible experiences.

Beautiful property
This is a beautiful property with a pool and great place to have breakfast in the mornings. In a semi gated neighbourhood but autorickshaws can be found at the end of the street or summoned by the hotel. Staff really good.

Jaipur Experience
The hotel building ,paintings structure depicts the richness of culture. It has a lot of character. Structure , decor is pleasing to the eye. I picked Shahpura House because I wanted to feel that I was in India and I wasn't disappointed. It has the feel of an Indian Palace. The staff are friendly and eager to please, the pool is clean and its in a great location.I definitely will stay here again.

There was no hot water in the bath even after complaining. The water in the pool was not warm too. And the Wifi connection was very bad.

Nice Heritage Hotel
I loved the hotel, it is so beautiful. It was a beautiful Moharajah house that is turned into the hotel. Rooms are like a suite with beautiful Moharajah style furniture. Our room was on the third flour, all the room in this flour are open to a huge balcony with a view of the city. You could sit in the balcony and chat with other gusts. Breakfast was Ok. I loved the hotel restaurant, they set the tables on the second flour balcony, they have Indian live music and dance, food is good with a reasonable price.

A great find
We really appreciated being given a room when we arrived on a 6am train. Everything about this hotel was excellent and the swimming pool an added bonus in the late afternoon. The interior decoration is magnificent and well maintained.

Solo but superb trip
I stayed at this lovely hotel for 7 nights. It is has a heritage ambience, uplifting your spirits and connecting to history. The administration is so well done and staff members are well-trained. Food was marvelous and enjoyed the 'ker-sangri' preparation a lot.The puppet show and dance performances every night gave a break that was needed from autonomous tourist's life. Shopping was easy too...also visited places in and around jaipur making my trip more fulfilling.Would recommend this hotel and visit it again with my husband too..Worth every bit of money spent.

Beautiful property but horrible beds
The property is lovely and very well maintained how ever the bed in our suite was horrible . It constantly Madrid creeking noises when you sat on it leave alone sleep which after a point became annoying . Also there was construction going on our floor so massive disturbance through and through

Lovely hotel
I loved staying here. The staff was so very nice and helpful. Food was delicious. The room was beautiful. I am slightly handicapped and the staff was so very accommodating and helped me with steps (just a few) and access to buffet. A Holi bonfire was just down the street and a staff member (Mr. Singh) helped me get there with my walker. Dining room staff were so kind and helpful. Mr. Nagebi in the dining room was especially nice when I dined there. Loved my stay here.

New Year's stay
Hotel itself is interesting, being a heritage hotel. Unfortunately we got a room at the top of the stairs which meant we heard all the other guests and hotel staff as they went up and down the stairs. Breakfast buffet was limited and uninspired. Waiters tended to get in the way as they were more interested in greeting guests than serving. If you use an item from the mini bar they wont replace it the next day, instead if you want more they will send it up as an in-room dining item - that way they charge the in-room dining price which includes all the taxes plus surcharge etc. The New Year's Eve dinner on the rooftop was mandatory for all guests (in all fairness they did tell us that when we booked) however they served only Indian food (which was not very tasty), did not include even one glass of alcohol and we were given a table right next to the entertainment which meant extremely loud music and no opportunity to talk to each other. Two in our party were sick that day and couldn't attend but we still had to pay for the dinner which wasn't cheap.

Nice Place, Beautiful Inside, But...
The hotel policy of not allowing friends to visit is just ridiculous. I can not in good conscious recommend a place like this for that reason alone. On a side note, they do offer a great complimentary continental breakfast buffet :)

Nice Hotel in the heart of the Jaipur City
Well maintained property and nice condition of rooms makes a nice experience during the stay. The hotel Staff was cooperative & friendly and they also upgraded our deluxe room to suite. However, the restaurant was bit expensive but nice food and folk dance evening shows. Breakfast was just awesome and almost all you need to start your day.

Disappointed.
This Hotel is meant for Foreign Tourists in Jaipur. Expensive wrt to the services and facilities provided Food Quality:- Poor and Expensive. If you Love to have Spicey food , then you will be disappointed. All the foods though are of Indian and Mughlai recipies, but it is made for foreigners by compromising the indian flavour So I will never stay again here

Mostly unhelpful staff, tired facilities
The bed was one of the most uncomfortable I've ever slept in. The breakfast was very poor and the staff (with one exception) very unhelpful. Very expensive for what you get.
