Must stay
Fifu’s hotel was a great place to call home for a couple nights. The rooms are clean and well kept. The owner himself is very friendly and accommodating of all requests. He made special requests with his kitchen to cook our food with bottled water so we don’t get sick. The kitchen staff did not make us feel like an inconvenience for our special food preparation requests. Mr Mishri from the restaurant went above and beyond to make us feel safe about our food choices and got everything made fresh for me and my family. The night views from the roof top restaurant are amazing. I would recommend everyone going to Jaisalmer to stay at Fifu hotel. You will not be disappointed.

The owner is kind and friendly. The rooms are well decorated, big, comfortable bed, and a shower with a curtain and lip so water doesn't go all over the floor which is extremely unique in India. There is also a reading nook by window which makes you feel like you are in the movie Aladin. The hotel is a couple blocks off the main Rd so it is very very quiet. There is a roof top restaurant with a great view of Jaisalmer fort.

This is by far the best stay we have had in India. The room was very nice and clean, the beds were comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the restaurant had excellent food a great view and was affordable. The owner personally gave us recommendations on areas to see in the city and places to shop to find the local goods we were interested in such as sheets and clothes. The owner went above and beyond even past the day our reservation had ended. The rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were very well looked after and highly recommend staying here to anyone going to Jaisalmer.

Wonderful hotel, friendly and accommodating staff and owner. They arranged our camel safari, dessert festival, monument tours and cab to the airport. The rooms were spacious, gorgeous and comfortable. Thank you again to the owner for the beautiful tapestry he gifted us. Roof top restaurant was also great. Good food and amazing view.

Great hotel / amazing owner. Highly recommended
Fifu, the owner, is a wonderful human being, a fountain of knowledge, and a real pleasure to talk to. Very rare find in India. We spent a night in the desert, and another day visiting local villages with him (highly recommended). The hotel is very cute, with great views of the fort from the rooftop restaurant, but away from the daily craziness (only a 10 minute walk). The Nepalese staff is excellent. Price is very reasonable. Don't hesitate and book - great option in Jaisalmer. Talk to Fifu, the owner, and learn about India first hand.

Fifu with the view
The Fifu hotel has an impressive view of Jaisalmer Fort from the very good rooftop restaurant. The staff are friendly and obliging. The proprietor is warm and welcoming and made my stay very pleasant indeed. He also introduced me to a wonderful tuk tuk driver M.Ali, who helped me get around Jaisalmer .. It was wonderful not to be hounded to purchase tours or visit shopping outlets.

Amazing Value - Beautiful Hotel
Fifu, the host and proprietor was extremely gracious. The hotel itself was almost pristine and palacial, with stone tiles everywhere and beautiful photos that Fifu himself had taken. The restaurant upstairs had an amazing view of the fort and the bit of distance from the center of town made all the difference for peace and quiet. They offered cooking classes as well which was quite fun at a reasonable price. The main thing that I can't get over with this stay was the value. For the price (under 30 USD) it was an amazing deal.

Room has the cosy ambience, hot water and thick blanket to keep warm during winter in December. Roof top restaurant has spectacular view of the Jaisalmer fort. Allows us to take a hot shower before driving us to Pal Raj Resort for camel safari. The next day we stayed at Hotel Fifu. Owner Mr Fifu and son are very friendly and accommodating. The son arranged a spare room for us taking hot shower and rest for 4 hours free knowing that we had a train at 1.00am.

Lovely guest house 5 minutes drive from the fort
Hotel Fifu is a lovely guest house about 5 minutes drive from the Jaiselmer fort. It is a guest house rather than a hotel, located at the end of a lane off one of the main roads. The rooms are charming with nice stonework and window seats and does feel very ‘real’. I had a deluxe suite, which had a small bedroom with very comfortable double bed, and a small sitting room with window seats. The bathroom was basic but clean. The manager was very nice, very accommodating and helpful. There’s a fair bit of building work going on around (and they make an early start), but that seems to be the case in a lot of places around Jaiselmer. All in all a very good guest house stay.

Stayed there for two nights, got the main floor room. Room was incredibly beautiful, clean of course and hotel staff is super friendly gave us a free ride to bus stop on the last day and even said goodbye with a small gift for us. Hotel is outside the fort but only 10 mins walk to fort. I would easily stay here again and recommend it to a friend.

Unbeliavbly Good Service
We traveled as a family and occupied two rooms at this hotel. It was not a luxury hotel, but the service provided was unbelievably good. The owner, whose nickname was Fifu like the hotel, went out of his way to make sure that we felt comfortable, helping us with issues that were beyond his responsibilities. In addition, the hotel was really close and had a beautiful view of the Jaisalmer Fort, the main tourist attraction in the city. We would recommend this hotel to anyone not looking for luxury.

VALUE FOR MONEY
We stayed for a night to experience the stay which was highly praised by fellow travelers on various travel sites. The rooms very small and basic, but very tastefully and traditionally done. The staff was very courteous. The hotel is very close to the fort and the market area. The traditional rajasthani food was delicious. Would highly recommend this place for everyone visiting Jaislamer. They also made very good arrangements for our travel to the Khuri dunes....

Friendly family-run hotel
The hotel is built from sandstone in the traditional haveli style. Lovely room design and a great view of Jaisalmer Fort from the roof terrace. The hotel is excellent value for money, as is the restaurant. Food is of good quality and is all cooked from scratch. We even had a cookery lesson in the kitchen. The hotel is away from the busy centre, but is an easy walk or just a 50p tuk-tuk ride. They organised a camel safari for us at reasonable cost and we had a free pick-up from the station. The staff are excellent. They take pride in the hotel and genuinely want to do well.

Peace and a true Holiday home from home
We stayed in Hotel Fifu for 3 nights but wish it it had been longer! Set out side the main town in a peaceful residential area, we enjoyed the silence and beauty of the area a rare treat in India. It only cost 50 rupees to get into the walled city of Jaislemer a minor cost for the benefit of being in such a peaceful area not far from the lake. The hotel owner Fifu gave such personal attention to make sure we enjoyed our stay in his hotel.

Hotel with a superb view of the Jaisalmer Fort
The hotel built is just off the main road and is ideally located away from the bustle of the city. The personal attentiveness to detail by Mr Om and his son Anirudh during our stay from 01 to 03 Jan 14 made it even more memorable. The Room No 108 on the second floor is undoubtedly the best suite and had two rooms with a view of the fort from all windows. The rooms were done up tastefully in rajasthani style and was cozy and warm. The sheets were clean and Mr Om made our family comfortable with extra blankets and pillows, since it was exceptionally cold. The bathroom is small but modern with running hot and cold water, toiletries and clean towels and it was more than adequate for us.The Hotel has a veg restaurant on the top floor with breathtaking views of the jaiselmer fort and the food is simple and delicious. We tried the ker sangri and rotis. The continental breakfast included with the room tariff is excellent and recommended with masala chai!

Nice hotel with great hospitality.
Its a nice hotel, close to Fort (approx 15 min walk or auto can be arranged by hotel charges 40 Rs). They are very good at hospitality and created homely environment, I stayed there for 2 nights and found few of the instances like, conditioner was not there in my room and they don't even provide, I asked them and they immediately bought it from outside (dove Conditioner) and give it to me. this was very prompt and I have not seen this in other hotel. Pros: 1.Great Staff, very helpful to you, 2. washrooms and rooms are clean and Decent, 3. great view of fort from rooftop 4. Restaurant food is very delicious. better than Desert bytes and many other restaurant which are very famous in town. Cons: 1. Hotel is not very big, its a small property having few rooms, but doesn't matter much as most of the people and autowala knows this property. 2. Restaurant is on rooftop and quite good , but need to be very careful with children as fences are too low. there should be option of some curtain so that in the night cool wind can be stopped.

We adored hotel Fifu! It is located about 10 minutes from the fort and main shopping area but Fifu was more than helpful and always arranged a complimentary trip into the centre. The room was spacious and decorated in beautiful colours, we actually had two rooms...so lots of space. Fifu allowed us to have an early check in and late check out to coincide with our trains- no extra charge! The restaurant on the fourth floor offers beautiful views of the fort and the desert. We went on the camel safari and it was great! Fifu is a fantastic host and he'll do everything in his power to make you feel at home! Id definitely stay here again!

Terrific family/staff who were more gracious than one would even expect. The location was away from town and the fort, down a road that renches one to the core, and in an area where a tuk-tuk had to be called, but the tuk-tuk fares were fair, the road got easier to tolerate, and the view of the fort, city and desert from the roof restaurant were breathtaking.

Lovely very well managed hotel.
Very caring owner, eager to make our stay, and everybody's stay as comfortable as possible. It seems that everybody loved him. Beautiful small hotel with gorgeous rooms, and great view of the fort. Owner speaks English, German and Spanish. The food is excellent and very reasonable. we loved the Kaju Curry and Raita It is not within the fort, but the Tuk tuk to the fort cost only 50 Rps ( $1). We stayed four days and three nights and it was a wonderful place to rest after visiting busy places like Jaipur and Udaipur. We arrived by train at 6:30 am and they gave us a room where we could shower and leave our belongings while the room that was intended for us became available. We had a great breakfast, met another couple and left to go sightseeing. When we returned, our belongings were in our lovely room. Our train to Johdpur was leaving late in the evening. We were given another room to occupied for that day, at no additional cost. That made our stay extremely comfortable.
