Good hotel, but away from the cityPosted Mar 6, 2015
Hotel is great with excellent staff and service. But it is about 15 KM away from the city, so if you don't have your own car you will need to rent a taxi or hotel car to get to the city. But the location also provides peace and serenity that you won't get in the city.

Outstanding architecture which blends well with that of the area. Professional staff (a rarity in India), good restaurant and facilities

A unique hotelPosted Mar 4, 2014 on Hotels
I found Suryagarh a little far from the action in Jaisalmer. It is not for someone who doesn't enjoy isolation and remote locations. The initial impression is overbearing. It's well constructed and had all modern facilities. Their swimming pool is a place I could lounge in all day. Their room size is ordinary and so is the decor but where Suryagarh stands apart is in its service and boutique experiences. Suryagarh is about having breakfast with peacocks and using their fitness centre way beyond closing times and even ordering dishes that are not on their menu. One needs atleast two nights to truly enjoy this hotel.

Awesome place! Highly recommended!Posted Feb 27, 2014
Pros: The courtyard seating for a meal was very nice. The staff were super friendly. The room was clean, large and contemporary.
Cons: Better equipment in the gym.
Location: Location was near the place to ride camels in the desert. Other than that, not too close to anything else. Town was about 20-30 minutes drive.
The staff was very friendly. Room was great. The food was nice. Very romantic setting. We enjoyed a very nice meal in the courtyard one evening. Overall a great experience!
