Everything you need in one place
Located in shopping district. Everything is here. Food, grocery, clothing, souvenir, no need to go outside. But a bit hard to go out from here because small and tricky road. Overall is good experience.

Clean Hotel but Hard to Reach
It’s located downtown across a bargain mall that has seen better days so it isn’t clean. To be honest, it didn’t look safe but the locals were helpful if you ask politely even though they spoke little to no English. I like that at night, there’s a mini food market outside. It was also difficult to get there for the taxi (from airport to hotel) and for the Grab driver (from the hotel to another hotel) because of all the blocked small streets. They had to pay an entry fee to get to to the hotel. The hotel itself is very basic. It is clean and everything works. But the towels are a bit worn and frayed.

Check in was prompt. Lobby was nice, bright and welcoming. Our room was of a good size, clean but the towels need to change as they are so worn and hard. The sheets and covers have seen better days after continuous wash. It will be great if they put in new towels and bed linens. The breakfast was Indonesian style buffet. Slow in topping up. The girls mending the Egg station were rookies and do not accept critics. They make the egg omelet in advance and leave it to turn cold and serve that to the guest. Will not have breakfast there again. Book this hotel for the location easy access to food and shopping.

Front Office did not read the request I enquiry on
Book this hotel for the 4th time but this time around, I was quite shocked with the front office way of telling me that I did not request anything except for no smoking room. Countless time I have e-mail them directly even in my previous booking. So far no objection except this time around I was told no request was requested in the booking detail. Anyway, I have the room facing the mall, even though it is at 3rd floor and the most importantly, a good time in Jakarta Indonesia

3* I give 1.5 maybe. I book hotel for location, Internet, and breakfast. Location is good. Internet access was very poor. Breakfast extremely lacking. I have eaten many traditional indonesian breakfast and have enjoyed. This buffet only meat fish.. I don't eat fish for breakfast, sorry. Rice and a few melons for fruit. Overall their menu was extremely lacking. Rooms made up way late in the day 4-5pm. That's when I'm back to relax before heading out for the night. Frosted glass on window, very confined room feeling.

I stayed at Fave Hotel Melawai for 2 nights. Nice room, great service, friendly stuff, great tv cable services (However that would be great if the management can provide a sport channels too), great location in Blok M with so many food selection.

Chosen this hotel based on previous reviews. Perhaps they been too kind. It certainly shows its age. Breakfast would be considered quite basic, but ok. Location is reasonable, handy to Block M. Both the Plaza or the Square.

Blok m is always a fun & vibrant area.Try & find this hotel is your first problem cause of crazy road layout, has to be seen to be believed. Our room felt like a prison cell,very little natural light, uncomfortable bed, grotty shower room all very poor. Would not recommend.

Located on the center of bus terminal and Blok M Square, the cleanliness of its surrounding is quite bad. Puddle everywhere when it comes to rain. The room is good enough for 3 stars hotel, toiletries are provided but just soap and toothbrush

Good hotel for the area, hotel chain you can trust
This hotel is conveniently located adjacent to Blok M shopping center and the bus terminal. The hotel is clean and the rooms have great beds and linens and the shower is very spacious with good water pressure. Air-conditioner is also good split type. The only dislike is the hall way of your room plays constant music that you can hear from your room and you can hear any noise that comes from the hallway, esp hotel employees going about their business and talking, you can clearly hear early in the morning it woke me up every time much too early. Overall, a good place with convenience.

Excellent budget hotel in convenient location
Excellent budget hotel - No frills, but had all the essentials in good working order. very clean and new looking and helpful staff. I'd definitely stay at any fave Hotel again. the price is right for a very comfortable experience. If you like shopping this hotel is excellent with Blok M Square literally steps away and Blok M Plaza (more up market) a 5 minute walk. The bus station for Damri bus to/from the airport is also about a 2 minute walk from the hotel. So very convenient.

I love the location and the wifi was great !
I mostly slept because of jetlag, the room is sufficiently clean and comfortable. I like the location because It is right in front of the mall . Very convenient for eating and shopping. I was not afraid to go out at night by myself. Breakfast was not great but fulfilling . All together very satisfying.

Enjoyed my stay here, I like the favehotel ethos. Attached to a great restaurant which is also used for the free breakfast. Somewhat irritating to have to get coupons every day for the breakfast, so I gave up going after the first few since the free food offered wasn't up to much (food on the menu for dinner was good, though). Porters/security were unhelpful.

I tried many other hotel in Melawai but this one was the best one. Room size is ok, big shower. Air Con, TV. Just the fridge is missing but that was ok for me. Hotel staff very helpful and friendly.

Nice Business Hotel
This fave chain features relatively larger bathroom, which is a plus. Downside include room having no outside facing window, music playing till late, thin walls and absolutely awful breakfast. The upside, you have landed yourself in little tokyo and the restaurant nearby are some of the best jap food in town.

For shoppers, this hotel is right at the door step of Block M Mall and within walking distance to Plaza Blok M, Plaza Melawai and Pasaraya Grande. A bit dissapointed that the hotel did not provide kettle for hot water. Other facilities are available as per standard offering of any other hotels. Read in earlier review about the water pressure problem. Room 327 where we stayed still had the same inconsistent water pressure which means you are getting intermittent hot and cold water. The room we stayed could hear the sound of the pump running and stopping. The bathroom is quite pleasant only to be dissapointed by the clogging shower floor and the unstoppable soap dispenser. Breakfast menu offers local dishes which is not too bad. Transportation is easily available in front of the hotel. This hotel is located within the Block M square and as such taxi or bajai (scooter taxi) may not want to enter the square as they had to pay entrance/parking fee.
