The hotel is large with architecture designed to impress. The service isn't good: asked for water, got something sweet; took 3 attempts to actually get water; dirty plates not cleared from the table.
Apparently the Indonesian government no longer allows hotels to exchange currency. In the long explanation of this situation the front desk clerk failed to mention the 3 ATM's on the ground floor.
The hotel is refurbishing but there is still a musty mildew odor permeating public spaces.
The Japanese restaurant looked promising but the Unagi was rubbery and pickles oddly fishy.
The hotel car to the airport was 4X Uber rates.
