Frustrating at times

Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: The room card system is horrible.
Assigned to a smoking floor for some reason initially. Everything in the room smelled of smoke, even the fresh towels. After changing rooms that wasn't a problem. However, the room cards would stop working almost every day, so there was frequent trips to reception to get the programmed again. Pretty annoying when you're in your pyjamas.

Good location in secure area

Best hotel I stayed in Jakarta. Good aircon in all areas. 24/7 room service, bar , beer , drinks. Feels like resort actually. Have minor problem with my medicine, quickly and professionally sorted by hotel nurse free of charge. Good breakfast.

Extra Charge

When checkin, the reseptionist guy said "my selected ocean view room" is on old floor, the sea view wasnt really good. So he suggested to move other floor, which is new renovation floor and has good ocean view, but i need to top up extra 100k rupiah for a night, so i need to pay 200k extra for 2 night staying there. Hopefully Hotels.com really give a exact price with a real condition.

Our stay was great, there is 1 person that really helpful to us durinf check-in his name is teguh his one of the front office staff he is really helpful during our stay. We want to say thank you for the great job he done

Nice hotel

It was a great experience. Nice hotel. spacious bedroom. Nice bathroom. However, the bathtub needs to be replaced to go with the nice bathroom decor.

mthe hotel is not value for money, the room very small "the new renovated one" the twin bed very2 small, i stay with 2 kids 6 n 8yo, may they want their guest rent more rooms, but lil kids will not want to stay in the room alone wothout their parent. the hotel is near amusement park thus it should be for family, however they dis not give enough bed space for family. i guess they are aim for business people. the check in and check out need a very long time, the processed for minimal 20mins each guest, so be prepare for long waiting. the water from the shower very2 small, it even can not be warm, either hot or cold...really disatisfied with mercure ancol, it is not worth for rp 1.275.000/night.

A little old, rooms ok, breakfast somewhat comical

Pros: The sea view. The shower. Being inside is good as you donn't have to look at it from the outside. The pool area is also very nice.
Cons: Breakfast could be easily improved. Be generous with the humus and the other two Levant specialities. Salmon would be nice. And more TV channels
Location: Ancol is the beach area of Jakarta with a lot of restaurants and some theme parks so there is a lot to do.
When you see it when you're arriving it's probably one of the ugliest Mercure hotels in the world. Inside the standard is of course ok. The breakfast was so-so. Friday there was some nice chicken dish available, Saturday not. A nice detail: humus is available, however only in homeopathic doses. If you take one table spoon off the buffet from the full plate, half the plate is empty. This seems to be a running theme - when the omelette chef asked one of the other chefs to bring some cheese, she brought a tiny dish of cheese, which may have lasted for two omelettes. 5 minutes later she brought the next portion of cheese. Same size. Also on Saturday the tables weren't set up with cutlery and serviettes. Last but not least: When Entering the Ancol area you need to pay Rp 25.000 per person. Showing the hotel reservation is not enough. It's only USD 2 but it's slightly annoying. Mercure should find a better arrangement. For the following days you get vouchers to get back in without paying.

We have shared your concerns to the concerned team regarding the breakfast variations and staff responsiveness & attentiveness during the service that were not to your expectation for their kind evaluation and better improvement in the future. We apologize as well for the entrance fee to the Ancol Area. As we are not in the same management with Ancol, the Hotel is giving 2 tickets for the guest & 1 ticket for the vehicle per room per day during the guest's stay as the compliment. But these will still be our evaluation for future improvement. Once again thank you for sharing the information as knowing directly from our guest is our most powerful tool to achieve excellence.
