Old & tired hotel with no A/C

Pros: Spacious rooms, good location
Cons: Updates to the rooms! And of course, A/C!!!
The rooms were spacious and the hotel is centrally located but it is old & tired. The biggest problem was that it was over 30 degrees each day in Victoria and they had no A/C and when we checked in, they said they had no spare oscillating fans, only the ceiling fan(s) in the room. The staff were pleasant and helpful but we switched to the Hilton after one night.

Nice stay

Cons: Wifi signal was very weak in room and difficult to pick up.
Great location, close to the bay and easy walk downtown, but out of the hustle and bustle of downtown. Staff was great and room was clean.

Spartan, needs updating.

Close to the Inner Harbour a one block walk. My room faced south on an unusually very warm day, no air conditioning. They will bring you a floor fan if you need it. This is a hotel that needs some updating. Won't stay there again.

No air flow in room. Window totally fell out when we opened the window. My bed was on angle too! Hotel need some up grading. Service in reastsurant very slow, waited 40 min to get served breakfast. Only positive is location.

Cons: Although the rooms are quite nice the overall building is tired looking. Some updating is is needed.
Good value for the money. The breakfast included is nice. The suites are very spacious and have lovely views. Good exercise room as well.

Nice hotel, great staff!

The hotel itself is clean and in fairly good condition. What sets the Harbor Towers apart from other hotels is the front line staff. Every single person I met in the hotel were friendly, informative and courteous. One or two stellar individuals went out of their way to help us on our first visit to Victoria.

close to attractions

Pros: Location
Cons: Room need major updating to freshen them up.
Location: We could walk 10 to 15 minutes in any direction and see an attraction. Perfect!
Excellent location so we were able to walk to all attractions. Breakfast was also very good and I was pleasantly surprised that they had gluten free muffins and gluten free bread. Rooms are dated and need a makeover, but they were clean and served our purpose to shower and get a good nights sleep before touring each day. Our view of the harbour from the 10th floor was great. Would definitely go back.

The hotel was clean the rooms were clean. There was no air conditioner in the room and it never cooled off. Made it very hard to sleep. No screens on the Windows. The restaurant served really good food at a reasonable price. The staff were helpful and pleasant.

I learned there are relatively few insects’ worth denying entry to. You are correct in that the Harbour Towers Hotel & Suites as well as most of the hotels in the downtown area do not have air conditioning, all of our windows do open and with the ceiling fans and the cool ocean breeze this is usually sufficient to ensure a comfortable temperature in the guest rooms. Great location. Stayed in 2 bdrm suite, hotel room was very out-of-date, could definitely use some maintenance. Cleanliness was okay (found a bunch of dirty clothes in the closet when we arrived). Restaurant was good. Enjoyed the pool and breakfast
