Nice place. Close to restaurants and lounges. Showing its age a bit, but overall a nice hotel.

Room decor was pink princess when we had 3 boys staying. Someone pooped in the hot tub.

Don't ask questions or leave anything behind

Posted Sep 10, 2014
Pros: Comfy
Cons: Customer service
Location: Nice cafe around the corner
I surprised my fiance with a visit and chose this hotel because it was the most convenient. On check in the receptionist was very blunt and not very helpful with finding our room or asking if we had any bags. The room itself was very comfortable and spacious but I would have been happy with only one bed which could have saved money. On check out we left our phone chargers behind and when we went back hours later, the room had been cleaned but apparently our chargers had not been found.

Nothing special, clean room and cheap. Ate at the coffee store across the street in the morning.

Great accommodations but a little noisy

Posted Aug 6, 2014
Pros: The staff is friendly and very helpful. You can count on the rooms being well maintained.
Cons: Soundproofing would help. Maybe a barrier of some kind between the hotel and trains and street.
Location: We love to go to breakfast in the morning at Babb's...a taste of Seattle coffee house. It is in walking distance just a block South of the hotel.
Our room was wonderful. Clean and beautifully decorated. The bed was comfortable. We only had trouble sleeping because of noise from numerous trains and street traffic.

Nothing special

Posted May 24, 2012
Pros: A place to lay your head. A good value but it won't make the top 10 list.
Cons: Old design and old appointments
Location: A good location central to all you need I Fargo
Older hotel with an older design and appointments. Nothing special here but a good value. Staff was good and mg stay was without issue. No way this is a 3 star hotel

Pleasant surprise

Posted Oct 27, 2011
This was a last minute, emergency situation, where every other hotel in town was booked, so we really did not know what to expect. Much to our surprise, however, this large downtown-area hotel was clean and presentable. The staff was quite pleasant and well-trained. The room was clean and fairly large. The best part was the restaurant, however, where, notwithstanding that it was near closing time, we were well received and I was presented with one of the best bacon cheeseburgers I have ever had. The hotel is located near a railroad crossing, so we expected to be bothered throughout the evening by noisy trains, but that did not occur.

Different every time

Posted Jul 14, 2011
We've stay here 4 times each time it is different. This time we requested Poolside rooms because we were going to being staying longer then we usually do and we wanted to be able to have some where to sit and visit with family when they came to visit us at the hotel. Our room had an old TV & a refrigerator and a door that we had to slam our shoulder into to get in. Both rooms next to us had Flat Screens, Refrigerators & Microwaves and thier door opened fine. We had to go down and around to the lobby to heat up stuff in the microwave. I realize this is an older hotel and it not bad for being an older motel but If you have guest staying and are repeat patrons. I would think you'd want to give them the not so run down room. Especially when the place is not full. out of our 4 times staying here it's been a 50/50 chance of getting a nicer room vs one that need a little work. There was an incident with the pool and the pool was block off except near our room. No signs were posted until after my husband and child had gotten in the pool. When we brought up these to Management they did make amends to our bill.

Good value and location for Jamestown

Posted Sep 14, 2010
Gladstone Inn & Suites was a great choice for my first visit to Jamestown. Located on one end of "main street", as the locals seem to call it, it was functional yet kitschy (sp?). Unassuming from the outside, especially with the "all night bar (casino?)" area and signage, it still satisfied quite nicely. It seems they have a variety of themed rooms available for rental, but the standard rooms were just fine. The Inn is two stories, with carpeted hallways on the interior. No general eating facilities, but 3-4 vending machines right near the front desk. There is a pool, though I did not peruse that facility. There is an internet-enabled desktop in a little nook across from the front desk, with an atm next to it. Big screen TV in the waiting room with a fireplace and comfy couches. I think this place also has conference/large reception rooms available for rent. It is 1-2 blocks away from fine eating establishments and great morning coffee/cafes. Grocery store just down main street, and lots of fast food joints within 5 minutes driving distance, on the way back to the highway. The only drawback to the place is that it is literally right next to train tracks. That concerned me a bit, but with a room window on the wall that faced perpendicular to the tracks, I was not bothered at all by train sounds during sleepytime. Downright pleasant stay, and more than I expected from such a small town experience.
