Beautiful resort , if you looking for a place to stay and enjoy the scenery and views from your balcony also for a quiet place I highly recommended. The room was remodeled and very clean, beautiful balcony you can sit relax and enjoy your day. Staff absolutely amazing and friendly and very knowledgeable. Love it !

I slurged on the king suite…..it’s a very nice sized room but I was disappointed with the first one offered which was overlooking a construction site, parking lot and dumpster. Luckily the front seat was able to find me a better option/view when I expressed my disappointment

We stayed in Lakewood property and requested a roll away bed. We were denied because we were told they could not bring a roll away to that building because it was not connected w the rest of the property. Completely ridiculous!

I was moved to this hotel from expedia due to a really bad experience at a previous hotel and holy cow what an upgrade! My children and I loved it, way out of our price range for what I was going through at the time but a beautiful facility and great staff all around. Definitely hope to come back someday.

Staff was very friendly— at desk and in 1878. We stayed in off-season (February). We were placed a FAR distance away from everything in the last lodge to the left (past the conference hall). There were perhaps 4 other cars near that large building. Our room was far in the back, through hallways, and it faced directly into a hill— despite the fact that there were many, many lakeview rooms available. Sheets on the beds felt like plastic— so much so that I am unsure if they were sheets or mattress protectors. We used our own blankets and pillows. The room was a good size, and the bathroom was large. The room seemed very clean, even for the age of the building. We ate twice at the 1878 lodge inn— for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was fine. Dinner was very good! A nice selection of items, including northern dishes like walleye. Lovely dining room.

Nothing this time. We were completely disconnected from the whole resort, as they were renovating, which was not made apparent to me when booking. We had to go outside to get to ANYTHING the resort had to offer, and it was raining and cold the whole time. (With snow, puddles and mudd EVERYWHERE!) Therefore, we were not going to get in swimsuits and head outside to go to the pool.

We had some unexpected delays and were unable to accommodate all our guest requests to be in certain locations. We look forward to opening our renovated rooms that are closer to the pool area and more convenient for families like yours in the winter.

The property was under renovation and we were unable to stay in the area we originally booked. They put us in the Lakewood Lodge, which is a separate building, wonderful in the summer. I am sure, but in the winter it meant we had to drive to any of the other parts of the property in order to enjoy them. I asked for a discounted rate due to the change and they told us that since we had booked through Expedia that would not be available. The property is dated and needs the upgrades they are doing. Still, I love it here, lake Delavan and the surrounding area is beautiful and the staff at this facility cannot be beat. They are wonderful and lovely humans.

Thank you Catherine for your feedback. As you mentioned, the main lodge is under renovations and we are utilizing the Lakewood building more than normal this winter season. With that said, the first phase of the rooms will be back online in just over a week from today and I am certain on your next trip to see us, you will be pleasantly surprised at all of the changes.

This was the perfect spot for a quick get away! Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. The sheets were not as comfortable as I would have expected but other than that it was a great stay!

Careful buying from 3rd party they will charge hidden resort fee. Property seemed outdated and overpriced for what it is. Only reason I would stay here is if I'm there for an event.

Explored the Lake Geneva area with our grandchildren. Spent a wonderful overnight stay at the Lake Lawn Resort. They had planned activities for the kuds. The pool was fun for everyone. We even had a chance to practice our swimming, the pool was a nice size and warm. We had a wonderful breakfast with the grandkuds. We all loved our loft bedroom with a lake view. Plenty for the kids and adults to fill up your stay.

The staff was amazing and helpful. Everywhere was clean and well taken care of. The beds could be more comfortable but we still got a good sleep. The pool area was very clean and it was warm! The property was just beautiful and fun to stay!

Average service for a resort
The internet wifi was poor, everything was ok. Being that the weather was bad there were limited activities to do at the premise. The hot tub temperature was tepid at best. I would not recommend for the winter unless you enjoy staying in your room. May be better during warmer weather.

Our room was expensive and VERY dirty. There was a thick layer of dust on EVERYTHING. When I had to give my son a bath, I had to clean gross stuff out of the drain and scrub a film off the bath tub. It smelled very musky in the room as well. I understand this is a lake side resort, but it honestly didn't look like staff had seriously cleaned the room in a long time. I never complain but I did kindly let the front desk know about this and they just said oh... Very disappointing response for the money we spent there. The resort was otherwise great, and our set up of the room was very cool, however it was disgusting.

Our room was very dirty. The room itself was a cool set up and the lake view was beautiful but the room hadn't look like it had been seriously cleaned in a long time. There was dust on everything and I mean everything like an inch think. When I went to give my sun a bath I had to clean it first because there was yucky stuff sitting in the drain and a film on the bathtub itself. I did kindly notify the front desk at check out and they just said oh... For the price of the room I really think that's a shame that they cannot uphold a better reputation than that because we really enjoyed the resort otherwise.

The room was showing wear and tear. The resort is refreshing its interior but I really dislike the new style, pairing the lovely dark wood white and removing all carpet for pergola flooring is making a once cozy resort feel cold. Losing the quaint and nostalgic feel of this historic resort which was the whole draw for us.
