Cons: CLEANING
Location: Restaurants
They didnt change the bed linen (which was dirty the day I arrived) during my 5 nights stay. The bathroom is dirty. The room key had to be replaced 4 times during 2 days. The wifi connection wouldnt be stable. Breakfast was poor and on the last day I had to set my own table. No one to help.

Great Affordable Option!

My stay was great. Mercure has never disappointed. The rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable enough. I particularly enjoy the spacious desk for work.

In a good part of town

Pros: the shower
Cons: The long check in process
Location: In a very good part of town and near the city without being in the crazy traffic
the hotel is clean, staff is pleasant. shower was the best part. very strong water pressure .

Good hotel for short stay

Central and conveniently located. The rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast is good and fresh (loved the bread). Missing some stuff to be above the line like body Cream as a standard in the room grooming set. Bed was a bit hard for my taste.

One elevator was being replaced but for me that did not create a problem since it was always available for me when needed. There is construction going on next store but with a high room sound was not a problem. Breakfast was good and front desk staff spoke English and very friendly

An OK hotel close to main transportation.

Pros: The location.
Cons: Training of personal.
Location: It is very close to the main avenue of the city - Avenida Paulista - and the access to transportation is very good. It is close Museums, parks, bars.
The hotel had the main features needed. However, the fact that one of the of the elevators was out of service maybe the lives of the guests difficult. The room service crew did the minimum necessary. The breakfast was fine. The price was low and the experience reflected it

Avoid this hotel

Not sure how this hotel got those 4 stars unless they were fake reviews. This place was a mess. The carpets in the hall way were so disgusting I couldn't believe it. There was ONE elevator for the whole building that the staff kept busy and wait times approached 10 minutes. My last day there the elevator door jammed with me in it. I was stuck inside for over 10 minutes ringing the alarm - no one came. I had to pry the doors open. The rooms were average and the bathroom was very small.

Just ok

Location: Ok, good location
Arrived at 9:30 am, check in is 12:00pm yet front desk said we couldn't check in until 2:00pm, we decided to wait in restaurant and we're finally given a room at 12:45pm The first night we got a room with a non working air condition, I let hotel know of the problem as we left to do our shopping and sightsee, front desk said they would take care of the air condition. When we returned about 6 hours later we were told air was ready, we went up to room and nothing was different room was very warm, I called front desk again and told them about air condition front desk clerk said he would move us to a different room...after 20 minutes front desk called only to tell me they had no rooms to move us to and kind of chuckled when he said that, which I thought was very unprofessional. He said to check in the morning and would have us a different room the next day. One night of sleeping 30-40 minutes at a time only to wake up sweating and having to take a cold shower like at 3:00am to help me sleep. Unforgettable and never here again

Mercure/Pamplona

Pros: Location and courteous staff
Cons: The hotel needs two working elevators instead of one, or none, depending on the state of elevator maintenance
Location: The Jardins neighborhood is convenient with many bistros nearby, as well as business offices on Av. Paulista.
The hotel is conveniently located in the Jardins area of Sao Paulo, but unfortunately, was without any elevator for 8 hours, and only one functioning for all 16 floors, for both clients and service personnel. The personnel were courteous and responsive and the gym area on the top floor a plus, (unless you had to walk up the 16 floors). I would only recommend Mercure to travelers willing to experience some inconvenience, until its elevator problem is resolved.
