Very nice hotel.Posted Aug 11, 2016
Pros: Very quite, clean, very nice continental breakfast.
Location: This was in a very rural location. So no real attractions. I am there on business anyway. Several good restaurants nearby
This hotel is the best value of any hotel I have stayed all year. This opinion is based on considerable experience. Should be rated much higher than 3.3. One very unique feature. 4 pillows on the bed. Two pillows identified as "soft" and two identified as firm. First time ever having a choice of a soft or firm pillow.

Good hotel at Reasonable PricePosted Aug 7, 2016
Pros: The staff were all helpful and caring, especially Katie, who was terrific. The beds were very comfortable and supportive. The pool was clean.
Cons: An adjustable desk chair would be helpful for using a laptop at the table. The arm chair could be replaced and possibly the carpeting.
Location: The hotel is located in Jasper, AL near Smith Lake, shopping centers, several restaurants, including Saltys just down the hill.
Check in was very enjoyable as the front desk manager, Katie, was a model of Southern hospitality making my wife and I feel like friends who were visiting. She recommended a couple of places nearby that we might want to visit. We enjoyed the suggested places. My wife loved the great chocolate chip cookies free at the front desk. We had a good size room with two comfortable queen sized beds, large screen TV, small refrigerator and microwave and good shower. When I called the desk about a small problem, Katie came to our room right away and took care of it. An adjustable desk chair for the table would have helped with using a laptop. The pool had extended hours, was clean and did not have rooms facing it, offering more privacy. The exercise room has a several types of tread mills. The complimentary hot breakfast included scrambled eggs and sausage, muffins and a pancake maker that I didn't try. The coffee and tea and bagels were good. Our experience throughout our 5 night stay was very good. The Hotel Express and Suites will be a Comfort Inn soon.

Confusing check-inPosted Jul 31, 2016
Booked under the name Hotel Express. Outdoor and indoor signage says "Comfort Inn & Suites". Paperwork at check-in read "Holiday Inn Express". Remnants of former "Holiday Inn Express" signage still visible on outdoor paint. Staff was not in a company uniform, however staff was very friendly and check-in was quick once we confirmed we were at the correct place. Several of the 15 pictures shown on Expedia are incorrect. The lobby is nice, but not pictured. The fitness room is not the one in the pics. The pool was our biggest problem. It was not the pool shown in the picture (it was much smaller) and was green and unmaintained. It was not usuable. See pics.

Good stay but pictures are incorrect.Posted Jul 22, 2016
The staff were wonderful. The beds were comfortable. Although the pool was nice, it was not the pool in the photos! I was in total shock about the false advertising. But, as I said before, everyone was very nice. The breakfast was decent.
