The views are impressive to say the least Rustic log cabins and wonderful log Lodge Everything was great, If you are looking for a quiet place to enjoy the scenery this is it No television in our room which was a bit strange

We absolutely love it here and will definitely come back. The girl at the check in counter was lovely. I love the athletic here and the properly is beautiful. My only issue was the food service was very slow. The server and hostess were both very pleasant and courteous but it took over an hour for our main course to arrive and the dining room was quite empty.

We were there in between Christmas and New Year’s. It was nicely decorated to complement the cozy and rustic theme. It is a nice place for a couple to stay.

The view of the sunrise on the snow capped mountains above the valley. The Chief rock formation towering above the stunning view! Very tentative, staff & servers in the restaurant. Enjoyed relaxing by the soaring fireplace. Rooms were very clean. Relaxing overnight get away.

The view from the dining room of the Rocky Mountains is stunning! Visiting other guests around the wood burning fireplace lends to a Christmas movie feel. New Year's Eve dinner was delicious, the choices appealing to fine diners. The serve staff were friendly and accommodating. A big bonus for me was being able to aquire an electric kettle in our room. I was able to have tea!

Great place for pets
Very nice place to stay. Nice rooms, very relaxing. We brought our dog with us. Have nice trails on the property. However, I wish the room has a TV. It was a little too quiet.

The property was easy to get to, and parking was good. Beautiful little log lodge, a little dated-fugs and furnishing, but very clean. Beautifully decorated. Bed was comfortable, towels were clean and very soft! A little disappointed in the dinner, super salty. But the restaurant was gracious and removed the meal from the tab.

This is a beautiful property! Just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of town. Unfortunately, the walls are so thin so we could hear the neighbours in the next room conversation at speaking level. There was a wedding in the main area that was quiet loud. I hate to complain about this because it is a beautiful venue for a wedding. But the stay wasn’t quite what I had anticipated.

The view is really the only selling point of the property. We stayed at one of the cottages facing the mountains. It was a pretty far drive from the national park compared to the majority of lodges/ inn. The view was as good as advertised. However, I do feel like with the lack of amenities (no hot tub, no TV, no kitchenette and poor wifi connection), you can easily find better accommodation with cheaper price. The staff was very friendly and offered the best they could.

Very old facilities, small cabins without even a TV or phone. Overpriced. Should have driven a little further into Jasper East and would have saved 100 in a better equiped one.

This is a beautiful setting with an incredible view of the Rocky Mountains. However, given the prices charged for the rooms and the lack of amenities (no tv or telephone, cheap toilet paper, etc) it feels like the Overlander Lodge is trying to being a five star resort while only investing at a three star level. The same applies to their restaurant, where they charge high prices for food and drinks but don’t provide enough staff to adequately serve their customers. One server for an entire restaurant at breakfast, who also has to make lattes and cappuccinos by hand, is ridiculous and ensures long wait times for guests.

Jasper stay
This is a nice resort. It was a little further from Jasper than we thought, so we just made one trip per day. Room was nice, altho a tv would have been nice. The neighbors were very noisy, but of course, one never knows who the neighbors will be. We wouldn't stay again due to the distance but we do recommend it.

Our stay at the Overlander was great! We wanted something out of the ordinary. The balcony was great to sip your morning coffee and look at the breathtaking views. It is a far drive to Jasper back and forth though. Get the burger at the restaurant- best burger I’ve had!!

The employees at Overland were very nice and very helpful. The grounds were so beautiful, enjoyed sitting out and aving wine looking at the gorgeous view. The drive to Jasper is 40 minutes. Met some very nice couples here. Had a great hike also!

While the buildings and interior was lovely and the staff were all excellent there is clear growth on the horizon. Better marked and kept walking trails would be appreciated. Also we will definitely be getting a mountain view room next time. The property view is fine if you're only in your room to sleep.

Overlander review
Hotel staff at check in and out were outstanding. Restaurant was adequate. Dinner was good breakfast about the same. I would eat in Jasper next time fir both breakfast and dinner.

Other than royally messing up our room reservations which the double booked and changed us they refunded (hopefully) the double charges. The staff was friendly and rooms were great. There are some trails around the property but hard to follow.

I really enjoyed our stay at the Overlander Mountain Lodge. Overall was a great place to spend a few days in the mountains. This was our first stay and we would definitely return. For the price however, I was slightly disappointed in the condition of the room we stayed in. I had looked at some of the pictures from the website and it seemed some of the rooms in the main building may have been upgraded, but suite 25 sadly was not. The bathroom counter was coming off on the edge in several places, the toilet kept running, and the bathtub faucet had a terrible squeal when it ran for longer than 5 minutes. The mattress on the right side of the bed had a massive divot in the middle. The refrigerator seal was a little messed up and at first wouldn’t close but we were able to wiggle it and it worked after that. These were all things that were livable but I thought for $400/night, it should have been not so outdated. The rest of the stay was amazing, the views were stunning and picturesque. The restaurant had wonderful food, great service especially our waiter on Saturday Aug 12, he was fantastic! I would recommend the lodge, but sadly not room 25. I hope to stay again in the future but will try a different room.

We absolutely loved our stay in this mountain retreat. I thought our room was going to be in the main lodge, but we ended up having a queen room in a little cottage and it was absolutely quaint and perfect for a trip in the Canadian Rockies! It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff was very accommodating as I had to check in pretty late after a busy day of hiking- and dinner at the restaurant on site was delicious!

Wonderful cabin style hotel in a somewhat secluded location in mountains. Beautiful surroundings. Just be aware that the wi-fi is spotty over there and there is no AC in the room. Great coffee!
