Needs updating

Posted Oct 30, 2016
Furniture is from the 70's, as is the carpet, drapes and bathroom fixtures. Make sure you bring slippers so not to touch floor. The duvet didn't look too clean so we took the sheet from the other bed and put it in top so that we didn't have to touch it. Front desk night staff were not friendly or helpful. We weren't in our room other than to sleep so it was tolerable and quiet.

Very good hotel for the money!

Posted Oct 28, 2016
Pros: Free parking, clean rooms!
Cons: Dated decor.
Location: Great location, tons of elk roaming around, very close to highway and stores.
The room was large and had two queen beds. The beds were comfortable, the TV was large and loud, the bathroom was clean and well stocked. It was all in all a very nice room. The only thing that was missing was the decor was slightly dated. But frankly, I dont care about that. I love Chataeu Jasper and I stay there every time I come to Jasper. They also have free parking!

We had a mouse in our room, suggesting that the room was not as clean as it looked. To be fair, the hotel shut down for renovations the same day that we left, but still...

Expensive, basic and poor value

Posted Oct 24, 2016
Location: It's 10 minute walk to town.
Considering that we paid over $200 per night this was not a good experience. I believe that they are just about to close the hotel for renos and frankly it could not come at a better time. The hotel is just tired. The room was basic and dated. We had to beg to keep our clean, expensive road bikes in the room. The receptionist at first suggested we lock them to the bike rack in the parking lot. Not impressed. Breakfast was not included. This felt like an $80 doller per night hotel. All in all this was very poor value for money.
