The Worst Experience Ever!

Pros: Nothing!
Cons: Housekeeping would be nice. Friendlier staff.
Location: Spent the day horseback riding in Banner Elk and shopping in Blowing Rock... Great dinner at Boonedocks in West Jefferson and Mellow Mushroom in Boone
Upon arrival, the room was a bit disappointing (Hair in sink and on countertop.) We registered FOUR guests; there was ONE towel and wash cloth. I requested more towels and was told housekeeping would bring them. Hours later, still no towels; I had to go get them. Hot water was nonexistent after 2 showers. Heater was extremely loud. Breakfast staff was AWFUL; she acted as if we were an inconvenience... we were the only people there the first day. The second day, she took forever, waited on other tables that arrived after us, but at least she was rude to everyone! After being gone the entire day, we came back to an unkempt room! Beds unmade, no clean towels, trashcans still full...

I'm sorry you had a bad experience. We thank you for staying with us. We had a housekeeper out sick which caused the housekeeping issues. We are sorry for that. We do hope you'll return in the future.

Pros: The staff was pleasant. Thats all i have but my review wont submit. Interesting. That says alot!
Cons: Sheets that fit the bed, cleaner bathroom, bathroom window covering and shower curtain tattered. The charge for this room should have been $45-60. Not $100!!!
Location: I was told it was close to Boone. Its a 40 min drive!

Top 3 worst hotel rooms I have been in.

My wife and I do not complain about things much and have never made a post. We reserved this room a couple months ahead planning a color trip in the mountains. We figured we could not go to bad with a chain hotel like Days Inn. It was a cold fall night that dipped into the low 40's. The smell from the room hit us as soon as we opened the door and drifted into the parking area near our car. The heater in the room worked for about 10 minutes then quit, never to work again the rest of the night. Both beds in the room looked and as though the bedding was a week old. Several pubic hairs were still on the toilet rim. There was dried spilled coffee on the bathroom counter top. It was though someone had stayed in this room for several days and house keeping came in and just pulled the sheets and bedding up, emptied the waste baskets and called it good. Complained about it to the desk, and was told call Expedia and you may get up to 10 % on your next stay. WHAT???? There won't be a next stay !!

beds too hard

Pros: Location. Close to everything and quite.
Cons: The beds.
Location: Close to W. Jefferson and had a nice Restaurant next door open all day that had great food.
Web site said they supplied hair dryer but there wasn't one. Light over sink in bathroom didn't work. Hard to control water temperature in shower. Housekeeping lady was very nice.

Had to clean shower and tub before we could use it

Shower was so dirty we had to by cleaning supplies and clean it before we could feel comfortable using the tub and shower..only stayed because there was no where else to stay

Plan on breakfast taking over a hour

The owners need to convert breakfast to a buffet or have to go options for travelers who need to get on the road.

Dingy and dull

We got there a little late, around 10 and the woman at the front desk was getting ready to leave and was not welcoming. Our room was supposed to be a non-smoking room with two queen beds. We were given a smoking room which they thankfully changed - to two double beds. The rooms were very out of date and not very clean. Don't be fooled by the free breakfast, although quick, it was barely filling and the coffee was awful. Definitely not worth the cost, should have been a $75 (max) room.

I'm sorry you do not feel you got the value you thought you should, we charge by market prices. I'll speak to the front desk they should always be welcoming to guest even if getting ready to leave.

Old motel

Ok for a night, breakfast was good. Remodeled motel that was avg on cleanliness. Bed was so so. For one night it wasn't bad and not too far from the blue ridge parkway.
