This was the worst experience I have ever had booking through expedia and I am platinum member. When I arrived at the front desk there were several people leaving due to bed bugs. One woman had brought a bed bug to the desk. Therefore, instead of checking in, I asked the receptionist if there were bed bugs, could cancel and get a refund. She indicated yes, but since I billed through a 3rd party, the hotel hadn’t charged anything yet and I needed to call expedia to request a refund. The online agent indicated they would find a way to resolve the situation and apologized for the unfortunate circumstance. Today I learned the refund is being denied by the hotel! Bed begs are disgusting and very expensive to treat. I can’t believe they won’t refund the stay.
