Face lift

Pros: I like the concept of what the hotel would finally become. The size of the space, appliances, cost for the stay and the staff, I would recommend.
Cons: Replacement of the carpet, pain the cabinets, get rid of the offensive odor...resurface the parking lot create more space and bring on a coffee pot!
Location: I'm fully into the nature aspect of the island, thus walking the beach, playing putt-putt, golf, window shopping the local eateries made the trip.
Upon walking into the "suite" I noticed an odor which was not pleasant, however...the "suite" appeared clean, there were no dust bunnies, nor any visual signs of filth. The bedroom and bath and kitchen area seemed clean and comfortable. The appliances were great. Love the coffee and tea selection with coffee maker. The carpet was threadbare in the sitting room and well worn through-out the other areas. Due to the smell I'm reluctant to say the room was clean and in excellent condition. There was renovation taking place, parking space was tight and the parking-lot needed resurfacing. The staff were professional and pleasant.

First room sneaky so bad w had to be moved, second room smelt better but our dog was covered in fleas a short time after being in the room. They are working on the hotel to make improvements but until they are done I would not recommend this place.

I apologize for the issues you experienced. Being a state park, we are limited in treatment of the grounds around as we discussed for pests such as fleas. Our monthly pest control service does monitor our rooms for fleas because we are a pet friendly establishment. Our renovations are in process and should be finishing up towards the end of March so we do hope you will revisit us soon. Have a wonderful holiday!

Overall good for the money.

Overall good for the money. Parking in the back was a little strange as it seemed to be in a residential neighborhood. The breakfast time ended at 9 am. Wish it could have been extended to 10.

Close to the beach

This is a great little hotel for the price! It is across the street from beach access and close to the bike trails. We have stayed here multiple times and love it

Quick getaway

It was OK that that it was under renovation and I'm sure humanities will get better after that and hopefully the attitude of the housekeeping staff

Poor Quality

Mold and mildew in the bathroom. I had to request housekeeping to come and change the sheets on the beds on the 4th day. I had to call twice to request the kitchen trash to be emptied. Pillows and beds were comfortable. AC worked but the bathroom vent dripped constantly with condensation. We had to keep a towel on the floor to avoid stepping in a puddle. Carpet stained horribly, keep your shoes on.... The gentlemen that I spoke to at the front desk was nice and tried to remedy issue with housekeeping as quickly as possible.
