Easily accessible to public transport

Very nice hotel which is very convenient in all means. Bus transport in front of the hotel and very close to New York.

Easy access to New Jersey bus stop

We were overall statisfied with the room and the hotel's overall cleanliness. We liked the fact that the hotel offered free shuttle service to and from the local shops and restaurants. There is also a bus stop in front to catch the New Jersey transit bus that takes you into New York City which was very convenient. However, we were disappointed to find out that the pool was closed for renovation at check in. It was closed for our entire stay (7-days), yet we never once saw any work completed or any workers renovating the pool for that matter. Also, one of the two elevators was out of service the entire stay. Being on the 8th floor made it even that much more annoying only having one elevator working.... it took time away from our vacation and enjoyment daily. We also ended up missing the buffet breakfast on 2 mornings because of the elevator wait time not to mention that the buffet cleanup crew was extremely prompt to put it all away very quickly. Overall, we would consider staying here again but hopefully after the pool and the elevator issues are resolved.

Nice views but don't look closely at room

Pool was closed, which made the 3 kids I was traveling with upset, not a good way to start vacation. Room was only so-so for cleanliness. Nice view of NYC however

The pool was closed. The hotel is going through a much needed renovation. Paint was peeling in the hallways. Only 1 elevator was working and the hotel was at full capacity. There was a party going on in one of the banquet rooms and you could here the music on the fifth floor. When we called the front desk@ 11:30 pm. to ask how much longer the noise would be going on. We got a sigh from the person who said twenty minutes and promptly hung up. Keep looking.

I had a nice time at this hotel, everything was fine except for the person at front desk she wasn't so welcoming.

Great Location but false advertisement

The room was really nice but staying here was a waste of money. I picked this hotel for the pool and bar/lounge, but both were closed. I wanted a hotel that I didn't have to leave out but of course that wasn't the case.

Weekend getaway to relax and shop

Pros: The room was very spacious and parking was free.
Cons: I would say on the day of check out the people who leave you a copy of the bill don't just open the door to drop the bill in or knock and wait a reply
Location: There is plenty of places to eat for breakfast up until a late night snack. Movie theater and shopping mall.
My overall experience with La Quinta Inn was good. Check-in was fast and the front desk receptionist was very pleasant. When arrived to my room was very pleased with how clean it appeared and the size of the room. I wasn't confined to one area of the room and if I decided to have company there would be plenty of room for a couple of people to join me. Pretty much any and everything was within 5 to 10 minutes from the hotel. The bus into New York was right across the street so not far to walk at all. Plenty of places to dine at also a movie theater and more. The best part to me being that I had drove up was that they had parking for free which was in the garage on the first floor right next door. If I plan to come back I will certainly stay at the same place or within the same area.

I booked this hotel only because it said there was a swimming pool, as I knew we were going to be going to the city, I figured a swimming pool in the hotel would be the fun thing to do for my seven year old daughter. When we checked in there was a little sign on the front desk that said the swimming pool is closed for maintenance, I asked about it and they told me they called me to let me know, BS!!! Big disappointment for my little one, and on top of that the option was to find another hotel and they wouldn't charge me the fee, find another hotel in the middle of the night???

Out of Order

Pros: Cleanliness of the room.
Cons: Fix some stuff
Location: Nothing nearby. Good bus to the city.
I stayed for a week. The whole week while I was there, the pool was closed (and the staff couldn't tell me when it would re-open) and one of the elevators was out-of-order, the other one was overwhelmed at times. The staff also could not tell me when this would be fixed. The room was okay, simple but clean. The breakfast was decent albeit very boring.
