Stayed at Biarritz Hotel 3*. This is a christian hotel, therefore no alcohol on site, but you can bring your own. Prayers each morning for approx 15 mins, but we didn't hear the service from our room. Room S1B has a lovely view of St Brelade's Bay (the prettiest beach on the island). The Room was very clean, appeared newly decorated. Staff are friendly/make you feel welcome. Standard English Breakfast/continental served. Tea/Coffee facilities in room only. Bring a torch if you use the stairs at the back of hotel to get to the beach and eateries along the prom, as there is little lighting. Staff happy to oblige if you require anything.
Had dinner at The Oyster Box Restaurant x 2 (approx 10 minute walk via the prom) - food was delicious - recommend you book a table in advance as gets very busy - you won't be disappointed!! Staff there were lovely - they offered to drive us back to hotel when taxi was slow to arrive! Lovely atmosphere. Recommend the haddock, whole lobster, mussels and champagne oysters - all the food looked appetising/fresh! Crab Shack eaterie next door was ok.
Went on an Island day tour for £20.00pp - not much to see as such, but views are quite pretty. Tour Guide, "Frank", was a sweet, humorous gentleman from Scotland who enlightened us about the history of Jersey - thank you Frank - all the best for your imminent retirement.
Would stay again as a quick getaway to recharge batteries. Good value for money for a 3 night relaxing stay. Clientele mostly elderly
