Alarms went off in night and no one knew what to do. But staff was overall very friendly and helpful and room ready quickly .

Great place for a group/family

We were so pleased to stay here. It was a great launching point, was clean/affordable, served a great breakfast....especially the breads... and we must commend the kindest person on the staff, named Asmin (?spelling) who set up our breakfast each day. He was always cheerful and helpful.

For what you pay, it's a great deal. The rooms are very small, but very clean. Staff is great.

clean and functional hostel

Posted May 26, 2014 on Hotels
Hostel accommodation, but it's clean and there were no nasty surprises. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood, and I had no trouble parking in the street. Reception was staffed until about 11 PM. Rooms are basic but air-conditioned and en suite, and problem free Wi-Fi. Israeli-style Breakfast but with pretty minimal choice, no cereal, limited fruit, only instant coffee. I paid €66 for a single room (containing six beds!). Staff were polite and helpful.

inexpensive, odd but interesting, and decent value

This is more hostel than hotel. Run by a Lutheran(?) group. The rooms are basic 4 to 6 bunk set ups. Most guests, however, seem to be solo or in groups of 2. So, the fold out upper bunks tend not to be used and the place is not horrendously crowded. Most of what you'd want to see or need to get to in Jerusalem is definitely not within walking distance. But there are many many buses that pass nearby. The neighborhood is quiet; the other guests sometimes not so much. Staff is very nice but more than a little easily flustered. (Trying to check out in something of a hurry was quite an experience.)

Budget Hotel for groups of 3/4

Posted Apr 27, 2014 on Hotels
Nice basic accomodation, accomodates upto 4 person in a ship cabin size room with bunk beds on either wall. Overpriced for 2 people, however, 3 to 4 makes it worth it if you are on a budget.
