Nice small friendly hotel, great location for all

Posted Oct 29, 2016
Pros: Clean Good value for the money Friendly Great breakfast Good location
Cons: A bit of maintenance to the room furniture is needed.
Location: Walking distance both from the Western City Center - Ben Yehuda - and the Old City - Jaffa St. Lots of public transportation just across the corner.
Not my first time in this hotel. Not my first time in this hotel. Small hotel, in a residential neighborhood on one hand, hence very quiet, but just off the main street Keren Hayesod with plenty of public transportation and still walking distance from both city center and the Old City. Very friendly staff, I've booked it using my VIP Access and when contacting the hotel after reservation, requesting that my VIP Access extra will be the free breakfast, I was approach by the reception manager very quickly confirming my request. The room is in good size, very clean, I didn't give the Hotel facilities' condition the perfect score since the closet had broken doors and the bath room, though very clean, could have used a little bit of renovation, but the over whole experience of the room was fine. Breakfast, like an Israeli breakfast should be, was great, reach with everything fresh and tasty. Great benefit of this hotel is the free parking available, though limited with spaces, but we had the parking available for us through all our staying and that was just great. All in all, a very friendly, not expensive, clean, greatly located cozy hotel that offer you a great value for the money in a city where decent hotels tend to be just too pricy. Highly recommended.

Wonderful value in Jerusalem

Terrific neighborhood and a great value. Walkable to the Old City and Ben Yehudah. Staff was very helpful and Shabbat dinner sumptuous.

Very nice spot - rooms a bit small and dated

Posted Aug 27, 2016 on Hotels
Very nice calm boutique hotel. Service was excellent. Breakfast was limited; but good - they should try changing the menu slightly from day to day. The piano player at breakfast was nice but would gladly trade him for an omelette bar or coffee service. The rooms are dated but in good working order of a bit on the small side. All is made up for by the excellent service by the entire staff and extremely convenient location. One of the few times I've been in Jerusalem and not had a trouble finding parking.

The supposedly free Wi-Fi was nonexistent in our room.

Great value in a geat location

Posted Aug 13, 2016 on Hotels
I stayed at the Prima Royale for a couple of nights. It was reasonably priced and I was pleasantly surprised to find it even nicer than expectations. There was a bathrobe, large bottle of water, 2 cookies and some chocolates waiting for me in the room. The lobby was nice and the room, while not huge, was very clean and the bed comfortable. I would happily stay there again.

Nice hotel close to the Old City of Jerusalem

Posted Apr 10, 2016
Pros: Reasonable hotel price and close to Old City.
Cons: Security should be improved during the night.
Location: Several restaurants are nearby. The hotel has a gift shop and the price is more reasonable than the souvenir shops outside in the Old City.
The sound isolation needs to improve as one always hears loud noise from outside the room and the neighboring room. Someone knocked on my colleague's room door even after mid-night. Security concern.

We will definitely take your suggestion about the security to heart and forward it to the relevant staff. However, we are glad you found value in the hotel, location close to the old city. Location doesn't save this hotel

Posted Feb 24, 2016
Pros: Location
Cons: Customer service
Location: Walking distance to many sites including Mamilla Mall, the Old City of Jerusalem, the Western Wall/Temple Mount.
Reading Expedia's definition of 3 stars, this would rate 2 stars, mainly for its breakfast and dinner offerings. However, the hot food on the breakfast buffet was cold and the remainder of the buffet was pedestrian. Room was initially considered Spartan but adequate. There are no drawers for unpacking, just a few shelves in the closet, no sitting area other than a desk chair and hassock, but which were used for luggage. Then we leared air conditioning pushed out hot air and the safe was broken. The desk was pretty cavalier about these issues ("open the window," said with a shrug). Several in our group sustained flooded rooms and no compensation offered such as cab or meal vouchers or even free bottled water when asked. The bathroom was tiny with no shelf or counter space. Bed was comfortable.
