BEWARE! This is a con and a formal complaint has been made to Hotels.com. The photographs and marketing details of the apartment bear absolutely NO RESEMBLANCE to the reality. The photographs on the website show a new, sparkling apartment, beautifully designed. It states there are black-out drapes and a bath. There are neither. As you can see from the photos, there are broken cabinets, holes in the walls where furniture has fallen off, stains on the floors and walls, tatty curtains and shades, old/cheap kitchen appliances such as fridge and microwave (absolutely nothing like the photos), broken light fittings, and a balcony littered with pigeon faeces. The second bedroom has net curtains meaning people can see in from the next door building and the sunshine streams in at 5am in the morning.
We arrived very late in the evening and were massively disappointed and unhappy about the mis-selling of this apartment, so much so that we left by 10am the next morning because our children were scared and wanted to get out. As such, we didn’t stay for the intended second night. Despite numerous efforts to contact the property manager, no response has been received. I have complained to Hotels.com (who were very proactive and have tried to help) and am still trying to get a refund from the property owners.
PLEASE BE CAREFUL!
