We had our room upgraded because of a small problem in our original room. That was so special and we appreciated so much. The pool and bar were pretty nice as well.

Great stay.
Great hotel. The reception staff are excellent, while the breakfast staff are even better. Rooms are great, though housekeeping take towels etc away but don't replace them. Had to track them down when I ran out of hand towels. Wi-Fi could be stronger. Very safe, very clean.

Great, well located Hotel in Morningside, Sandton
This boutique hotel is always a joy to stay at. It is conveniently located close to Sandton and the Morningside mall. The in-house restaurant is also clean and modern and the food very good.

Overally stay was ok. Environment is relaxed and has a home feeling instead of hotel feeling which is good. The upstairs corridors and steps need to be kept clean though. I requested for unsweetened soya milk for breakfast and they kept saying they will provide and I checked out after 3 days before they got round to it. free area Shuttle service an added plus though remember to book in advance .

Incredible service; world class boutique hotel!!!
Absolutely amazing stay. First of all, it’s a world class hotel. This from someone who is used to good AMERICAN hotels. It may be a 4 instead of 5 stars and I assume that has to do with the level of amenities but everything in this hotel is top class. I did not have anything to eat here that was not high class restaurant quality food. The menu is limited but very interesting and like I said, too, top shelf. However, one does not come here for be amenities. It is in essence a business hotel which works great for people on vacation as well. The best thing about the Falstaff though is definitely the service. Every person that works here has one goal in mind: your total and utter satisfaction. They don’t just want to help you or get you out of the way with little fuss, they really want to meet every need and desire you have. It is really mind blowing and I will never stay at another hotel in JNB again. Btw, this is my second stay and the first was just as good...

Quaint boutique hotel
You will be in a quiet relaxed neighborhood. The free shuttle service which drops you off and picks you up within a 5km radius makes life so easy as this includes Sandton mall. 300m from the hotel is a small shopping mall with lovely restaurants. You can take a stroll or if it’s too dark you can just take the free shuttle.The hotel is just so peaceful and you can have drinks nicely relaxed on the pool. Those who travel for medical reasons the Medi Clinic is close by. Depending on your condition you could walk there exercising or still take a free shuttle.

The lady that checked me out at the reception was in a faul mood, she never bothered to ask the basic service question "was everything ok". I said goodbye twice and she simply ignored me. After checking in i realised my room was not at the 4 star standard i expected and asked to be moved. I had to pay extra R600 so as to get a better room which was also not 4 star rating because the woodwn toilet seat are wearing off from moisture. This additional amount was asked of me despite the hotel being completely under booked for the weekend. My wife and i have subsequently made the decision that we would not be staying over ever again in future.

Wonderful hotel!
Precious Dube and Nonkulueko Sithole were especially helpful in changing my flights. The breakfast was wonderful and we enjoyed heaving drinks and cigars by the pool.

Nice hotel within Sandton
Nice and secure area, no major issues. Will require transport though to get around easily. Shuttle bus alleviates this somewhat as they provide service to Gautrain and Sandton City.

We really enjoyed our stay, although some other guests were quite noisy between 04H00-05h00 in the mornings. There was no plug for the wash basin and while we could have called reception I still believe it should have been there in the first place- South Africa is a water scarce country. Both mornings we had to wait for a griller during breakfast. All these irritations are minor and can be easily corrected - I hope it will as it would be a shame if a place with so much potential suffers due to shortsighted issues.

Check in was quick. The room I got had no view as it was under the stairs on the far end of the hotel. There is nothing on the walking distance though they have shuttle but you have to wait 20+ minutes after requesting the shuttle. Sandton Train station is about 15 minutes drive from the hotel. I constantly had WIFI problem. The signal was dropping a lot. I requested to fix it they try but the problem was not resolved. Breakfast was basic but restaurant servers was great. Another issue I had which was not fixed during my stay was the water leak from the shower screen. The water was leaking in the bathroom and eventually going on the carpet. I have to soak the water after every shower using towel. I was ordering food every nigh in my room. GPS show hotel on the main street while entrance is from Longdon Avenue. Delivery guys were confused every night and they have to call to find the hotel. I stayed for 4 days.

A Gem in Rivonia
I would definitely stay again. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff friendly and the food good. The free WiFi is a wonderful added extra, as well as the movie channels. The bed is comfortable, the water pressure superb and the hairdryer mounted on the wall an added benefit. There was always hot water when i needed a shower. Room service, aircon and a quick response to your queries and requests. My only complaints are that there are only 5 undercover parking (in a place like JHB with hail this is stressful as you worry you car will be damaged - carports would fix this), no shelf in the shower to put you toiletries on while you shower and a shower head that can remove body parts.
