Excellent location

Stayed at Hilton hotel a few days ago and I must say I was more than Impressed. Excellent services especially the members of staff. They were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Too expensive for what it is

The room was clean that is the only good I have to say. You need to take 2 elevators to get from car to room, when peek points you can wait up to 10 min to get to your room. There is no alternative to the elevator other than the emergency stairs which are old and dingy with water stains and mold. The only way I found to the pool was the same dirt emergency exit. The pool had discoloration, not sure what from, no one was using it, was my primary reason for staying at this hotel, didn't even get to use it. I asked to get a change in towel cause I don't like my room cleaned everyday and took then half a day to bring them to me. Should not be more than 3 stars.

Used to be a good hotel

Pros: Good location and Herts having office there.
Cons: Service, food quality, free internet for guests, better rooms and equipment.
Location: Sandton city shopping is excellent.
Hilton used to be one of the best hotels... what happened? The staff is very slow and not enthusiastic about their job, restaurant is to be avoided - sorry to say but it was the worst dinner and breakfast we had in South Africa. A good 3 star hotel surpasses Hilton for a fraction of daily rate on my opinion.

Disappointing for a 5 star hotel

Pros: Staff
Cons: Cleanliness (carpets dirty), amenities, service was slow, bed very uncomfortable
Location: Shopping mall and great restaurants
Disappointing. The hotel needs an upgrade ! Service was very slow and room carpets were dirty. Plastic cutlery in the room was unacceptable for a 5. Star hotel. No tissues in the bathroom.

Good Business Hotel for Sandton

Pros: We liked the location, restaurant, bar, conference rooms and the staff.
Cons: Not much; pretty spot on.
Location: Not too close to the highway but a great area of town and close to the train station as well.
For our company we like this hotel both for location as well as focus on the customer. We don't need to be connected to a large galleria and this hotel seems to be all about the business customer. The staff is excellent in every way and the amenities for business meetings are very good. I recommend this hotel for business meetings and conferences.
