My stay at Hyatt Regency

Arrived at 22:00, toilet didn't work properly, when flushing it didn't stop running the water and did nit refill the tank this it couldn't flush again. I called reception, was told an engineer is coming, someone knocked around 1am we were sleeping by then, s/he rudely let herself in switch on the light, switched it off again and left. Shortly after that the phone in my room rings (mind you it was after 1am) someone asked if its ok to fix the toilet, obviously not because we were sleeping. I called in the morning, a lady was sent up to my room, she said she couldn't fix the toilet, the system is too old and need changing. I called reception again because my boys needed to use the toilet, the engineering lady opened room 721 and said she would leave the door open foe us to use until we check. Surprisily when I went to 721 to use the toilet it was locked again. This was the worst experience of my life. My boys (both 7) were literally begging me to call as they could not cope any more and were desparate to releve themselves. The water in the toilet tank ran throughout the night making the sound of a flushing toilet. Really and truly we had a very unpleasant experience and I reported this matter before we checked out. Apart from this, staff is very friendly, hotel is beautiful and nicely decorated. Will come back again but will be gutted to have similar experience.

Beautiful hotel

Great room and bath and I'm a frequent traveler and nit that easy to please. Hotel connected to mall and restaurant area and shopping.

Failed to honor Expedia pre-paid breakfast

Pre-paid breakfast and despite being shown evidence both the Hotel staff clerk and then the hotel manager refused to credit my account. Both staff clerk and hotel manager were condescending in attitude. This treatment ruined an otherwise pleasant stay.

Great venue for the conference

Pros: Food and rooms
Cons: Open reception on arrival late in an evening.
Helpful staff. Lovely food. Good gym. Finding the doors locked on a late arrival was a bit off putting though. 1pm isn't that late and after a long day traveling not quite what you expect as a welcome at a 5* hotel. Otherwise fabulous

A very nice and well-located hotel in Johannesburg

Pros: Location and service.
Location: I took a day trip to the Pilanesberg Park, and loved it. I only stayed at the hotel for a couple of days.
This hotel is great in terms of location, structure, and service. I booked a club-access room, and it was nice. The hotel is attached to a large shopping mall, which makes it nice and with many options for dining.

Friendly, efficient, convenient location

Pros: Flexible about check in and check out times - got me a room before 2pm on arrival and I didn't have to check out until 2pm on day of departure
Cons: Promote Joburg's many attractions, at the same time emphasising the safety aspects.
Location: Gautrain for access, Apartheid museum, Military history museum, 2* botanical gardens, Soweto tours, day safaris
Good combination of efficiency and friendliness Foreman and rest of front desk and concierge team. Very welcoming on entering and leaving the hotel. Chamber maids, staff in bar and restaurant

Pros: I like the location
Cons: The cleaning in the rooms and a welcome note
Location: Shopping and good restaurants
This was my second stay at the hotel. The experience this time was a little disappointing. I had to phone reception to ask for wifi password. The last time I had a welcome letter and fruit in my room. This time there was nothing and the room was not as clean as the last time.

Great hotel next to rose bank mall with access to

Pros: Ww loved everything! It's situated in rose bank mall where there is everything for everyone to do!
Cons: Nothing!
Location: Great shopping Wonderful dining
We had a wonderful and restful experience in beautiful place. My kids and I totally loved the place and the atmosphere.
