I am extremely disappointing! This has been the worst Hotel experience ever for me. I booked 2 rooms for 3 nights and I had to leave after 1 night: There was 5 Power outages, burnt 2 cell phones few hours after check-in. I found hair and used tissues on the tiles, bathroom (the toilet in particular) was disgusting: I couldn’t shower, I used my toilet like I use public toilets so imagine. Soundproofing must be done: wake up at 5 am due to the “traffic” in the hall. I could hear my neighbour ordering his breakfast. Damaged/old armchairs/safe not functional/ reception too dark. The photos are clearly outdated and overly photoshopped. Staff needs training: reception’s unfriendly, almost rude and so helpless. Restaurant: Pricey (13$/p - lunch buffet) for such a limited choice of food/bad service/ bland food/ terrible smell from the kitchen. I asked for a cappuccino: waiter came with an empty cup, poured over filter coffee, add some milk. I walkout smelling fried food all other my clothes. Users of hotels.com beware: price/night is an average: hotel charged me 20% more for the 1st night when I checked-in. Complaining to hotels.com or to Protea didn’t change anything: I met the manager’s assistant, she listened to what I had to say, left to talk to her GM, then 10 min later, someone else brought me an envelope with my Invoice (account was settled prior to check-in anyway) and nothing else… I was outrageous by such rudeness. I checked-out the following day.
