Very nice property. Excellent staff. Could use some minor repairs to the rooms (small cracks in sink) but it is a comfortable convenience stay.

Guest rooms, pool area and location are great! The lobby needs a complete refurbishment. The lobby is uninviting, dark, unwelcoming and old. It is the only reason why I did not rate it five stars.

I like the location of the hotel , close to shooping center and lots of good restaurants around it. what I didnt like about the rooms, three wasn't enogh sapce to store your clothes and in the bathroom no room to leave your toiletery which made it very inconvenient.

Modern hotel in great location
The room was modern and perfect for a single traveller. Well maintained hotel with great reception staff. Super professional concierge and nice pool area with great dining and lounging areas. The location is sublime.

This is in a great location to be able to step out of the hotel and have a number of shopping and dining options. Hotel itself is lovely and rooms are well appointed.

When we booked we asked for a room with bath and they accepted our booking. On arrival we were given a room without a bath and were informed that all rooms had no bath except for 3 in the entire hotel which are booked long in advance- we booked over 6months ago. Hotel looks tired and rooms very small. No toiletries were available in the room. Staff were outwardly friendly but totally matter of fact and not helpful at all. Was not told that parking was included by reception and the porter asked me why I was paying for parking since I was a guest. He directed me to reception where happy to then stamp the parking ticket but were not forthcoming as to why I wasn’t offered the same.

It is a very decent and comfortable hotel. Location is excellent and near the shopping mall and spa. Security was excellent too. Check in was fast. Room service was good and they allowed a late checkout without extra expenses. We had 6 pieces of luggage and they allowed all to be stored in their luggage room, after checkout. The restaurant in the premises was excellent and overall the hotel was very good value for money.

Very good professional service from all the very nice staff throughout our stay. On arrival at 6pm our room wasn’t ready. The manager, Lesedi, immediately intervened, apologized and offered a voucher for a milkshake. While small it was a nice gesture and he took responsibility. Our room was ready 10 min later. So 10/10 for device.

Perfect stay in a perfect location
Outstanding service. No scales in gym so asked at Reception. They bought them inside an hour. Staff were friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. Rooms lovely and clean.

Protea Hotel Fire & Ice @ Melrose Arch is a fab place to stay. The staff are super friendly and helpful - big credit for helping out when my travel plans changed. Melrose Arch is an ideal location in the Northern Suburbs... Good selection of shops and eateries, popular with a young, cool and diverse crowd.
