Very Comfortable

Posted Aug 9, 2017 on Hotels
Very comfortable accommodations. The property was quaint, with goats and roaming chickens. It was necessary to pack a day bag, as going up the stairs with a suite case may be challenging. The sheets and towels were clean and soft. Sylvia made a great breakfast. I'll definitely stay there again if I have the chance. It's a great place to stay if you plan on visiting the wine trail.

Bucolic, perfect country like setting, chickens and goat were a bonus and added to the country feel.

It wan an amazing weekend! The compile that owns this little hotel are so friendly and breakfast is so fresh, delicious and gourmet! We had Benedict eggs the first day with crepes and in the second day we had omelet with different veggies, eggs are picked up every morning I would recommend this hotel for a couple weekend

Lovely weekend in Johnson City

Posted Dec 5, 2014 on Hotels
Lovely B & B, not far from the town square. The owners were very friendly, the room was spacious and clean, and the breakfasts were absolutely wonderful! We really enjoyed our weekend in Johnson City! The Christmas lights and fireworks were beautiful.

On the Edge of History

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: The breakfast and the setting.
Chantilly Lace Country Inn offers a chance to revisit history. The inn is located in the small community of Johnson City, Texas, just West of Austin. Accommodations include separate rooms from the main building. Johnson City is named after the early kin of President Lyndon B. Johnson. The city is the site of the Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park. The park contains his boyhood home and the Johnson settlement. Before venturing to the West towards Fredericksburg, enjoy a breakfast at the inn that is not to found anywhere else. Serving time is limited, so make plans to get and early start. Federal Highway 290 takes you to wineries, the Johnson Ranch, the Texas Whitehouse, ripe peaches in early July, and shop till you drop in Fredericksburg. German and Bavarian food can be found there Returning to the inn is easy and the setting is quiet. Depending on the season, sitting outside can be very enjoyable.
