“When I called re a florist in the area for fresh bouquet, the manager said he'd be happy to get their Gardener to cut flowers and make a bouquet for me. Wow, that was so nice! When it was brought to our room the girl would not take any payment. The flowers were lovely and went on my mother's grave. I really appreciate how they went out of their way for me. The room was spotless and the a/c worked very well. Plus we enjoyed having a living area and kitchen. We were within walking distance……

“What an absolutely amazing stay! We had booked with another property for a 4 day vacation, but only stayed one night due to a terrible experience. I looked for a hotel that first day, and was pleasantly surprised to find this jewel. My family and I were treated phenomenally well by a stellar staff. “Advertisement is extremely misleading. The rooms are not "sound proof" in slightest. The heater went out in mine at night. This is likely because it is a jury rigged space heater that was stuck in the wall at some point to replace another heating method. The heater in the bathroom did not work at all and there was no blinds. This allowed someone to see into parts of the room at night and you would not be able to tell (there were thin curtains). Critically, into the bathroom is one of these……

“Location to Grandfather Mountain was great. A/C was great. Kitchen does not have some basic utensils and is not fully supplied (as advertised) - fortunately there is a Food Lion nearby where we bought what should have been supplied. Sofa and chairs did not feel clean and we put a sheet over the sofa. Beds and bed linens were good and clean. But, great place to have a family get-together to attend the nearby Highland Games at Grandfather Mountain.”

“Everything was clean and ready for us. Was a cold week but still nice and warm with the gas logs. Kitchen was supplied with utensils and cooking equipment. Enjoyed our stay. We will be back. ”
