Family double room quite spacious
+) We stayed in a family double room with our 18 months old kid. The bed room was separated from a little private living room. It’s great to have a chance eat and feed the kid in a separate room. The staff were not available at the hotel from evening and after but they were accessible via phone. The fresh wooden floor make it a pleasant stay. -) This hotel is pet friendly might not be appropriate for allergic people. The rooms are located at second floor and there is no lift in the house so not suitable with people with disabilities or strollers. It would be great to add more options for the coffee rather than regular can coffe for the breakfast! Thanks again

Standard small town hotel
Standard hotel in a small town in Sweden. Good sleep. Gislaved is a small place and some of the few restaurants close early on a Saturday (20.00) in October 2021, even after Covid-restrictions are gone. Hotel has a restaurant and a friendly bar with games but was not packed. And no noise to the room.

Reasoanble small town hotel
This is a functional hotel in a small town. The staff where friendly and there were several nice little touches. The place itself was a bit tired and could do with some refurbishment. The room was small and the en-suite shower room quite basic Breakfast was good

Clean, comfortable and good hotel.
Good clean hotel with a good restaurant and bar. The view is not the funniest.

I came very late around 4am the staff did call me in advance and gave me details how to get in. But in the morning the breakfast was until late 09:30 am. No one inform me. Otherwise I would wake up for the breakfast. How ever when i explained the staff that I would not mind to pay for any food. They ask me to the caffei. No breakfast just desserts. Anyway I had a busy day that day I eat my breakfast at 6pm.

Old hotel. Needs to be remodel. I would try to find another hotel in the area. Restaurant options are limited and the steak was not so good.

Very cozy and charming hotel!
Arriving on a Thursday is STRONGLY recommended. "Stubbe" runs a pop quiz (on his 12th year) - and I NEVER atten quizes! The bed is amongst the best ever! Have traveled the world since the 90's

Fantastisk hotel, på vej…
Virkelig hyggeligt hotel i Gislaved, perfekt til overnatninger ift. skitur til Isaberg. Hotellet lader til at være under en løbende renovering, restauranten er super både til morgen og aften, ligesom værelserne er rigtig gode, hvor området omkring receptionen stadig er lidt “brugt”, og rodet. Personalet er fantastisk søde, proffesionelle og hjælpsomme. Vi kommer helt sikkert igen….

Väldigt nöjd med våra 2 nätter. Bra service, trevligt och fräscht rum (barnen uppskattade att dela översta sängen!). Frukosten var mycket bra - speciellt för oss glutenintoleranta, glutenfria våfflor var en ovanlig och mycket uppskattad tillägg! Skidrummet var smidig, parkeringen lätt att hitta och det tog bara 15-20 miniter till Isaberg skidanläggning. Bra läge med restauranger nära, och maten på deras egna restaurang var bra (dock lite långsamt med servicen).

Classic Swedish city hotel next to the main square in Gislaved. Stayed for 4 nights to go skiing at the nearby Isaberg ski resort. Generally the hotel have what you can expect from a 3 star hotel. The breakfast was good and varied and they had several allergi alternatives, but younger staff need more training in running a customer focused breakfast buffet, e.g the buffet ran out of several thing on all days, so guest had to wait, e.g they were out og bread for more than 30 min. They also opened door to the outside for a very long time, where there was -15 C• sending a very cold breeze through the restaurant and made some people leave. The evening menu had few alternatives so it was not interesting enough to eat there for 4 night. Again the younger staff did not have attention to customers. Several customers had to wait for a long time while staff was unaware an just talking in the kitchen, e.g. also shared cold coffee after dinner.

Generally a very nice hotel, friendly staff, clean and tasty food. A big plus is the coffee machine in the hallway with access for a fresh coffee or tea at any hour. The kids playroom is also nice for the families with children. The rooms were quite small, we expected a little bit more space, and we could have used a mini fridge in room.
