Will never stay there ever again!

Posted Dec 30, 2017
We paid for a 4 adults room and they gave us a room with two individual beds and a sofa bed which was tiny. Then they changed us to a room practically the same with the sofa bed and wih a heavy cigarrete smell. Also the food was bad and the rooms dirty. Thankfully we only stayed there for two nights.

Dear guest, I am very sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay with us! In fact, if 4 adults are staying in a suite, 2 of them need to sleep on a sofa couch (pull out sofa). As the hotel is a non smoking hotel I am surprised to hear you smelled cigarettes. Please let us know next time as we usually charge a cleaning fee to guests who smoke in the rooms even though it is not allowed. I am very surprised to hear you did not like your breakfast which gets usually great remarks. Please let us know what we can do better there, I would be very interested in hearing your feedback on that. Kind regards, Alexander

Nice hotel close to Christmas markets

Posted Dec 10, 2017
Close to transport, walking distance to most sights, and was travelling with a baby. Hotel was pleasant and typical Vienna in style. Helpful staff, would stay again.

Good location. Close to public transportation.

Check-in reception was efficient but not friendly. No good restaurant suggestions other than two on the same street as the hotel. Was hoping for more assistance with that. Furnishings and carpet are a bit tired. That said, the hotel was conveniently located. We were able to walk or u-Bahn it to everything easily. We bought an 8 day all day pass and used it for 3 of us. You save a little bit. Nice restaurant down the street,Eiles, perfect for breakfast and dinner is good. I would definitely stay again.

Spacious suite in a great location

Posted Oct 3, 2017 on Hotels
We booked a double room and were given an upgrade to a suite - very spacious with a large bedroom and sitting room. The bathroom is very large with double sinks and completely renovated. There is also a kitchen, but it was oddly missing any dishes. No cups, dishes or utensils - only a couple short glasses. Similarly, a Nespresso machine but no capsules. I was given a kettle when I asked at the front desk. The location is very good. It's only a short walk to Rathsus metro and an easy walk to Museums Quartier and on into the ring. Trams also stop almost right in front. Art Nouveau decorations are a pleasant touch. The hotel and the neighborhood were both very quiet. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Dear guest, Thank you very much for your kind feedback! We meanwhile have hangers on the kitchen cabinets with information about how to use the kitchenette. Actually, there are dishes, pots, cuttlery etc in all rooms but as it is for an extra charge, an extra key is needed to open the cabinets. The new hangers mention that in 2 languages now. Thanks for pointing that out - as you can see, we take it serious :) We hope to have you soon as our guests again! Kind regards, Alexander Hotel Manager

Staying in Vienna

Posted Sep 22, 2017 on Hotels
The location of Cordial hotel was great, just 20 min walk to the center of the city. I had a room on the first floor with a court view (not so interesting). But the two-levels room was very big for me: a big hall with kitchen equipment (that I didn't use), wardrobe, a round table with two chairs, TV and sofa with small table downstairs and sleeping room with twin beds, bathroom and big wardrobe were upstairs. I didn't spent much time in the hotel as Vienna attracts for walking, sightseeing, eating, etc. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful, wifi was effective.

Great hotel in a good location

Posted Sep 17, 2017
This is quite an old fashioned style hotel, but it is very comfortable, and the staff were very helpful. I was slightly concerned about the beds being described as 'queen' - we had 3 different styles of room, all described as having queen sized beds - all has king sized base with 2 close fitting single mattresses - total bed size was at least king. Bathroom fittings were slightly aged, but kept clean. My only slight irritation was that nothing was provided to make use of the kitchenette.. who travels to a hotel with pots and pans, crockery and cutlery? Location was prefect for sightseeing and good restaurants.

Dear Jon, thank you very much for your kind feedback and pointing out the irritation about the kitchenette. In fact, all pots, pans, cuttlery etc are in the cupboards but they would need to be unlocked as there is an extra charge for it. Its written in the room decription but I have to admit, I never read them myself when staying in other hotels. Hence I asked our Marketing department to create hangers, similar to the "do not disturb" door hangers, on which we inform our guests about how to use the kitchenette. Was a great point, thanks for that! Kind regards, A. Griesser Hotel Manager

Dear guest, thank you very much for taking the time to comment on your stay. Toiletries are usually getting replenished every day, towels every other day, unless otherwise requested. I am sorry to hear it was not done in your case and will investigate this internally. My sincery appologies about that! Our price for the full American Buffet breakfast is EUR 18,- for adults, with discounts for kids (0-6 free, 6-12 minus 50%). However there is an option for an so called Express breakfast at EUR 15,90 We are constantly checking on market prices and I can assure you that we are in line with 4 star hotels in Vienna. Especially taking into account the choices we have. However for guests preferring just a little bite in the morning we recommend nearby cafe`s. We however prefer to offer a full range of breakfast items to our guests. I hope you response clarified your addressed points and we all do hope to have you as our guest again once life takes you back to Vienna. Kind regards, A. Griesser Hotel Manager

Slightly disappointed

It's an older hotel with some of the problems of older hotels e.g. layout, ease of use etc.
