Simply awesome

Posted Jul 18, 2016
Pros: Pretty much everything
Cons: Get an ice machine on the floor, so guest can get ice after 9pm (seems trivial, but with outside temperatures of 100+F, ice is always welcome!).
Unbelievable scenery, and some of the nicest hotel staff I've ever met! Our party (3 rooms total) was made aware days ahead of our visit that there is no staff available after 9pm, and if we needed to check in later (which we didn't). Check-in was super friendly and a breeze. As I couldn't locate the usual ice-maker, I asked at the front desk, and was informed they didn't have one, but she got me some ice from the kitchen right away. I requested that some ice be brought to the rooms of the other people in my party, and it didn't take 5 min and it was delivered!! Just impeccable service all around!

Great hidaway

Posted Jul 5, 2016
Pros: The size and the lake.
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
Location: The Ariel Tram is a must. Very fun way to spend the day and escape the heat.
A real gem, hidden in Palm Springs. Who would have thought you could wake up to a view of a lake! Very friendly staff and great bar.

Little jewel

Pros: Pretty hotel with good food.
Location: Near Palm Springs, shopping, golf, dining, you name it.
We ended up checking in late, and found an aperitif and welcome note when we walked in. So nice!

Posted Apr 27, 2016
Pros: The setting of being on the lake and the location.
Cons: Room was not cleaned very well each day, i.e. Fresh glasses not provided and floors not cleaned.
Location: Great shopping from Trader Joes to Costco.
Nice size room and beautiful setting on the lake. Heard wonderful things about the restaurant but never had a chance to eat there,

Great new hotel option in the desert

Posted Apr 20, 2016
We really enjoyed the lake front setting of our room and everyone was VERY accommodating. The room was very nice and the bed was comfy. There were great areas to relax outside and take in the view. The pool was nice and private. The restaurant was a pleasant surprise for lunch with amazing drinks and flawlessly prepared entrees. Such a nice experience from the larger chain hotels in the Palm Springs/La Quinta area. Keep up the good work!

Expectations Not Met

Posted Apr 15, 2016
Cons: I would suggest the owners up their game a couple of notches and try to live up to their marketing if they want to be reccomended,
perhaps because of the name Chateau and the marketing hype our expectations where higher than they should off been this is a remodelled motel the authenticity to a Chateau is a big stretch re service we where sent to upper floor wing only to find room not ready it had not been serviced to her credit the front desk person did ask staff if room was ready and was told yes we where given a room on main floor overall poor attention to details. it seems like a management issue fluff Little substance
