Good location for seeing our friends and close to

Posted Apr 27, 2016
Pros: The setting of being on the lake and the location.
Cons: Room was not cleaned very well each day, i.e. Fresh glasses not provided and floors not cleaned.
Location: Great shopping from Trader Joes to Costco.
Nice size room and beautiful setting on the lake. Heard wonderful things about the restaurant but never had a chance to eat there,

Great new hotel option in the desert

Posted Apr 20, 2016
We really enjoyed the lake front setting of our room and everyone was VERY accommodating. The room was very nice and the bed was comfy. There were great areas to relax outside and take in the view. The pool was nice and private. The restaurant was a pleasant surprise for lunch with amazing drinks and flawlessly prepared entrees. Such a nice experience from the larger chain hotels in the Palm Springs/La Quinta area. Keep up the good work!

Expectations Not Met

Posted Apr 15, 2016
Cons: I would suggest the owners up their game a couple of notches and try to live up to their marketing if they want to be reccomended,
perhaps because of the name Chateau and the marketing hype our expectations where higher than they should off been this is a remodelled motel the authenticity to a Chateau is a big stretch re service we where sent to upper floor wing only to find room not ready it had not been serviced to her credit the front desk person did ask staff if room was ready and was told yes we where given a room on main floor overall poor attention to details. it seems like a management issue fluff Little substance

Relaxing trip

Posted Mar 18, 2016
Pros: Location and views
Cons: Like I said, they are still a work in progress. So far so GOOD!
Location: Close to Target, Trader Joe's, the Juice Bar(need to get there-especially all you health nuts!) Other restaurants, a nice gym and shopping!
The view was just gorgeous!!-Was in Bugalow 2--best view by far!!. Frank(manager) couldn't be more accommodating. The hotel is new to the public and it still a work in progress....meaning-don't expect EVEYTHING to be perfect.. no coffee maker in rooms, but get over it! In other words, DON'T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF!!! We would stay there again and again. The location is right on!! There is nothing I would say bad about this place. We loved it!! It is clean, convenient, quiet and a little hidden paradise. Food was good too! All I can say is, check it out on line and you decide. We definitely recommend it !!!

Buyer Beware!

Posted Mar 16, 2016
Pros: Overall location was good. The view from the restaurant was wonderful
Cons: Have different pricing on rooms that really do NOT have a lake view.
Location: We were there for the Indian Well tennis tournament.
The room was not as advertised! A Premium Room, Lake View (premium price I might add); should have a lake view. While the room was very comfortable; the road noise was not. The restaurant had amazing food BUT we tried to book a dinner two days in advance and could not get in. I would suggest that you ASK to view the room before accepting room key! And make restaurant reservations a month or so in advance. I was very disappointed.

Hello, Dana. Thank you for your visit and feedback. We regret we did not meet your expectations and apologize for the issues that led to your disappointment. The recruitment of staff to our new restaurant has been a challenge, and we have had to closely monitor the number of reservations we receive to ensure proper service for our guests. Unfortunately, this has on occasion prevented us from serving as many guests as we would like. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Regarding the photos on third party booking sites, our reservation team has contacted Expedia and is working to ensure the online images accurately reflect our room types. Thank you once again for visiting The Chateau. We appreciate your comments and hope you will give us another opportunity to make a more favorable impression.

Disappointed

Posted Feb 8, 2016
Pros: The view
Cons: The pool was way too hot.
We were disappointed that there was no coffee maker in the room. The kitchen didn't open very early, so each morning my husband had to get into the car and drive to McDonald's to get coffee for us. On the first night someone charged $75.00 in drinks and $35.00 gratuity to our room. Usually, when someone wants to charge something to their room they are asked what their name is so it can be compared to the hotel register for that room number. The first room we were given was right off the restaurant patio where there was no privacy. We were charged an additional $30.00 per night to be moved up to another room on the second floor.
